well stated.
Yeah downvoting a debate/discussion like this is kind of lame. At least respond

TygerTyger seems to have wandered off.

I haven't seen it yet. Will be my next binge.

I didn't go far. I stand by my opinion that BSG was one of the greatest television shows with a shittyass ending.

up to the point of starbuck entering the jump coordinates, the finale was as thrilling as i'd ever hoped it could be. i was gasping for breath...
after that, well, i dont think they thought that through all the way. placing BSG in the past created real continuity issues that have been well documented. still, BSG is in my top 5 series, ever

Just watch the series for a second time and I liked the end again. I followed it a lot more than the first viewing about five years ago. I loved how they brought back the old model of Cylon and John just says frick it in the end I quit.

First time through, there were nights that I would say I was gonna watch one more episode and then goto bed. Next thing you know it was 3 in the morning and I had watched 5 or 6 more.

Loved the first two seasons.
It dies quickly in Season 3.
If you are a huge Lost or Days fan or think the Fonz had a chance against Jaws, you might stick with it until the end and finish with Season 3 and 4.

The Adama maneuver sucked up the budget for season three

In case anyone was wondering, I am not the downvoter - nor would I do something like that in a thread like this.
And - FTR - I'm ever so slightly considering starting this. It's not a hardline stance like I have with the new Trek or any Star Wars movie after Return of the Jedi.
I mean, I watched a Thor movie in 2017 - AND LIKED IT.

For those who think the show shouldn't have ended in the historical past clearly have never seen the opening portion of the original series:
1978 BSG Opening Credits
"There are those who believe that life here (Earth) began out there..."
That's where Moore got the inspiration.

LOL Ace - I knew it wasn't you. you may nor care for a movie or things about a movie, but you at least have discussions about it and for the most part are willing to see the other persons pov.
