Just started rewatch of Justified…

Just finished the pilot.
1. The dialogue is just so good. The dynamic between Boyd and Raylen is fantastic. Even inconsequential conversations are fantastic. So many great one liners too.
2. Natalie Zea is so fine.
3. Ava is sexier

On a superficial level, you can't go wrong with either Winona or Ava, but Raylan would probably stroke out early on if he tried growing old with Winona, lol...

The dialogue is what makes this show one of the top tv shows imo. Off the top of my head I can't think of a show that has better dialogue, especially like you say in the inconsequential conversations.

We'll have to agree to disagree here. Joelle Carter is good looking, but Natalie Zea is freaking fine as hell.
But I will say this, while I think Winona is better looking, Ava would make a far better wife. Ava would stand by her man no matter what, and would go down on in a hail of bullets for him. She sticks by her man when the walls are caving in. Winona doesn't know what in the hell she wants, much less has the long reaching desire to have her man's back when times get tough. Ava is a much better partner than Wynona.

ETA: I will say that season 1 can be a little more "episodic" than the other seasons, especially in the middle episodes, but it still has an overarching storyline. And the season 1 finale is pretty awesome imo.
But season 2 is top notch tv. I think it may be the best single season of television out there. And while the rest of the seasons may not reach the peak of the 2nd season, they are still good. And the series finale is pretty satisfying which is something that can't be said for most tv shows.
