Almost done with season 1.
Please tell me the next 7 seasons are this good?
Wow
Brilliant, clever, entertaining, great dialogue , great backstories, likable characters, perfect moments of levity.
Are my expectations now too high for the rest of the series?

They aren't. Much of the first few seasons is excellent.
One of the seasons towards the end is not great at all for the most part.
Its still a great show and enjoy it!

Oh it's still up there. The first 4 seasons are some of the best TV you'll ever see. I think the bar being so high made it difficult to take this the full run of the show. There is one in particular that's really bad as the poster above said. I'm just saying don't expect to see Breaking Bad in the closing seasons. But they are still watchable.

While they aren’t great, they are worth finishing the series. 6 was sub par, and 7 was decent enough until the end. The producers got cowardly.
I just can’t see putting in that much time into a series only to not finish it based off of some anonymous interwebz opinions.

If you start you should go all the way and finish it out.

I can’t NOT finish. I have been really enjoying season 1. Best tv I’ve watched in awhile.
All the commentary has been interesting and I appreciate the look ahead.

I'm not sure why anyone would downvote a post saying stop after season 4. Season 4 is one of the greatest tv seasons of all time - and not much afterwards does it justice, the show becomes more silly as it goes on past that

Stop after S4 is a good suggestion, but if you do continue just take the last few seasons as a comedy and it makes it better.
