His acting in season 2 of Loki grew on me

Am I the only person who hates his acting? He overacts every kang role and it’s fricking irritating and distracting.

See, that's what I thought at first, but the quirkiness of the portrayal and his commitment to the oddity of it finally sold me on him.

I hate to see this .... I've spent some time with him on a few projects and he has always been warm and friendly. Hopefully he can get the help he needs and rehab his promising career and personal life. Because he does have talent and an incredible drive.

Really enjoyed his portrayals of Kang and He Who Remains. Hope they can find a good replacement.

Was anyone really loving Kang as the big bad of this saga?

He has the potential for a lot of depth, especially given that his power basically came from knowledge.

Don't worry they'll go back in time and fix that.

If kang were actually catching on with audiences, I bet they’d have tried to stick with him. This gave them the out to course correct from something that just wasn’t hitting home. Comic fans seem to love Kang, but general audiences have mostly yawned. Tough to reel people in with your new big bad constantly taking Ls right out of the gate. His big screen debut, the “best version of him” loses to a lower level avenger and his daughter ? That’s cool, can’t wait to see more variants of this guy…

You immediately wanted more Thanos after IW, Kang felt like another disposable MCU villain and not someone you’re building the franchise around

I’ve heard quite the opposite actually. There were quite a few people on Twitter (back when it was Twitter) who spoke out against him back when they took classes with him at Yale. Said he was Jared Leto levels of weird and would bully and belittle a lot of the other students and the crew members in the MFA program at Yale and the plays they ran.

Of course all these stories come out after the first allegations appeared but when there are 40 something accounts of you being an emotionally and physically abusive a-hole, you probably are one.

Man I'm so annoyed with this dude. I think he was pretty fricking amazing and intimidating as Kang. All his variants acting was unique and his portrayals of them was unique. Dude had like 9 different variants that he acted to perfection.

As someone said, Feige really fricked up making him lose to Ant-Man out of the gate. What a shame because I have no doubts that that version of Kang would have come back as Kang Prime for Secret Wars.

The great thing is that all they really need is another black or white dude with crazy acting range to replace him. Surely someone out there exists.

I don't think they can pivot as well as people think from this. Rushing a replacement villain like Dr. Doom is very short sighted. Loki season 2 helps answer alot of multiverse questions but development for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars is well underway and it is hard to pivot from the Multiverse storyline.

As for WHO they should cast as Doctor Doom

I am of the opinion that the cast of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” should be the Fantastic Four, and they should be the Fantastic Four still in character from Always Sunny.

Dennis is Mr. Fantastic. Dee is The Invisible Woman. Charlie is The Human Torch, and Mac is The Thing. Dr. Doom is, of course, Danny Devito.

In addition, Wayne from “Letterkenny” is Wolverine, and canonically has been through the entirety of the series as “Wayne” is actually his middle name, and his real first name is “Logan”. If we can somehow work in Shoresy becoming Silvertooth, that would just be gravy, well, poutine since they’re Canadian.

I know somebody who worked with him on Devoted (great under the radar movie I would recommend) and said he was not nice but not rude either. Just very intense and a method actor.

Said great things about Glenn Powell all around.
