its not about preference, its about calling it what it is correctly
But what do you watch it on? You know, that big square panel with the moving pictures on it. What’s that thing called?

what do y'all think? will it air on Hulu+ or Disney+
They added parental controls before putting the Netflix Marvel shows on D+ and Netflix's Punisher is already there. Why wouldn't the new season be there too?

new Punisher series will have a whopping eighteen episodes
That's a lot of episodes in this day and age. They must have a specific story line in mind to go with that many. I'll take that as a good sign.

There isn’t anything worth watching on those channels outside of sports. Just boomer fodder to get eyes on commercials.

Words have the meaning that we give them. Most people do not define content by the business model but by the story telling format. Movies, they make those for TV too, are 1.5-2.5 hour self contained stories. A TV show is a longer form story told in a series of episodes.

Hopefully it's more like S2 of Daredevil and less like the Punisher show.

Don’t download videos from there, unless of course you want child porn on your computer.

that's a lot of words to avoid answering that it's simply a "TV"

Oh so you mean you are receiving “network television” on your “tv,” which is short for *gasp* “television.”
Tele, far + vision, sight, ie “far sight, or to watch something from afar. This is accomplished by using a television device.
Television, aka “TV” series are long running programming designed to be played on a television set for consumers to watch.
Network television is a short term to describe television series delivered to the television sets via over the air network signals that we don’t pay for directly, thus your claim of these shows being “TV”
Streaming television is a short term to describe (fill in the blank with exactly everything I just typed with the lone exception being the replacement of “over the air network signals that we don’t pay for directly” with “streaming services that we pay subscriptions for in order to access these television shows”)
By all of this, you say:
quote:
subscription streaming + services are NOT TV so why even bother to say its TV
If you’re going to be an a-hole you may want to do your due diligence to ensure you actually know what you are talking about before sounding like a complete retard.
Are we allowed to call you a retarded a-hole, or is only RA allowed in your skewed up world of dickhead logic? I mean you think the word “TV” axshully means “free regular network over the air programming.” Meanwhile we now have no name for the box that displays these shows to us, because we have been wrongly calling them “TVs” for decades. RA, good job schooling us here!
I’ll just step out now and let everyone see how this clown suit looks on you.
Toodaloo honey
ETA: What you are defining is axshukly “free TV” vs “paid TV”. Let’s forget that these are “TV shows” and are not indeed just TV as you continue to try and tell us, RA. Regardless, by your simplified definitions (exactly what we would expect from an RA) the only difference is that one TV is free and the other TV is paid for. The constant is the TV, yet you try and say it’s not called “TV.” How very RA of you, RA!

Pluto TV
Tubi TV
FreeVee
There's actually a decent amount of content you can stream for free. Most of it is older, but Pluto, for instance, is owned by CBS/Paramount, so one of the channels is a sampling from current shows on their streaming/premium platforms like Paramount+ and Showtime. FreeVee, which is owned by Amazon, has a handful of new shows they are producing like Bosch Legacy.
Be cheap all you want, but there's no reason to be a luddite.
