I wish they'd just let him and Kevin Smith make a fricking stand alone Batman movie.

That was tongue in cheek, it would be campy and terrible and stupid in most places but I'd still love every minute of it.

Go respond to my trilogy

Is it me or does Affleck's Batman just kind of get lost in the shuffle between Chrisitan Bale and whomever comes next?

Mainly because he doesn't have to carry any film I think

Well it's kind of too late now, but I always thought they should have gone younger across the board so that everyone could age together in the group. Armie Hammer had been cast as Batman 10 years ago in a project that was going to be directed by George Miller.

He and Cavill were really solid together in Man From Uncle. like Hemsworth, he's actually the right height...and like Hemsworth he'd need to add a bunch of weight from where he started.

I like that choice.

I could do a whole other thread just on fan casting Batman Villains.

Would you go see this movie:

Batman Akrham Asylum.

Plot: An aging Batman must enter the part of the city the inmates at Arham have taken over and face an older Joker who is running the Asylum.

Batman: Daniel Day-Lewis, if he says no: Tom Skerrit or Robert Duvall
Alfred: Ian McKellen
Nightwing: Mat Bomer
Joker: Mark Hamil
Hugo Strange: Peter Stormare
Freeze: Jean Reno
Two Face: Ed Harris

How about:

Batman: Keanu Reeves
Alfred: Lawrence Fishburne
Two Face: Anthony Hopkins
Joker: Michael Fassbender
Riddler: Nick Cage
Catwoman: Mila Jovovich
Penguin: Joaquin Phoenix
Clayface: Andy Serkis

He looked like a body builder gone to sead. Bulky and baggy at the same time.

I don't know, but I literally cringe every time I see that trailer and dude is like what's your superpower, and Affleck goes "I'm rich" and tries to sound all raspy and cool. It's awful.

There were rumors that Affleck’s script was about Arkham Asylum. Its a great idea for a film.

I've responded to your trilogy dozens of times.

I've been Team Nightwing since Superman was Nightwing.

Gyllenhall as Grayson makes more sense, and would be smart for the studio to do with Batman.

I could live with him as Batman but he isn't the best choice.

Yeah. I mean, I really like the look and persona of his version of Batman and Wayne. It's a shame he got mixed in with the current slate of films that he's been depicted in vs. having his own film and going from there.

I'm down for Jon Hamm

But they're already two films in with Affleck. Aren't you kind of stuck at this point? I mean yeah Marvel replaced Norton with Ruffalo but that was just one film and Cheadle came in for War Machine.

I'm down for replacing Affleck but it just seems like weird timing. Plus, Gyllenhall would be worse

Or do an adaptation of The Killing Joke, directed by David Fincher, with either one of these dudes. And make it dark, dark, dark. Have the Joker shoot Barbara Gordon.
