Met several famous people but my favorite of all time was George Foreman. I worked at a tv station in Shreveport and Foreman had a farm in Marshall, Texas about 25 miles away. We did several stories on him before he retired the first time from boxing after losing to Jimmy Young.
One day actually road with him just me and him in his pickup truck for about an hour feeding his cattle.
One of the most kind hearted human beings I have ever met in my life.

Jeff Bridges at a Hamburger Hamlet in L.A. Very cool and cordial guy.
John Goodman at about a dozen bars in N.O. Funny and nice. Think he's sober now.
Meg Tilley in L.A. Very hot at the time.
Rose McGowan in New York. Very sweet. She was with Marilyn Manson but he sort of wandered off.
Samuel L. Jackson. Not a total a-hole but not the easiest guy to shoot the shite with.
Elvis Costello. Very, very nice guy.
Some others here and there.
Oh, shot pool with Winona Ryder one night. Very cool girl.

Used to see her in the Hamburger Hamlet on Sunset all the time. Six degrees of Kevin Bacon...which is part of a Cobb Salad... mind blown.

I have met many famous people working on films but nothing trumps catching 20 or so balls from Brees three weeks before the Super Bowl on set for a commercial

-Met Ron Paul in Nola last year; very nice man.
-Met Jared Fogle/the Subway guy at the Starbucks on College Drive in BR at 7 am on a Friday morning before I went to class (he was in town for an American Heart Association conference). Really down to earth guy, took pictures with everyone, talked to him for several minutes.
-Boyfriend's cousin works on a lot of movies in Nola and was buds with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill when they were filming 21 Jump Street here. Also hung out with Johnny Depp. Will have to ask him how they were IRL next time I see him.
I'll let yall know when I meet some more big names

I know a whole group of people that met The Situation at a trip in the Bahamas a couple weeks ago
He took pictures with everyone in the club but after that apparently he was drinking by himself in the VIP section while just creepily looking around with his glasses on. They also said he brought some girls to his hotel room that night but they werent from that group that i knew (it was a HS senior trip) so the girls he did bring home were probably fresh outta high school

I've never met any celebs. Good story from a friend, though: he got to watch a Hornets game in a suite with John Goodman (he wasn't expecting him, they just had a mutual friend). The two of them got wasted and exchanged Big Lebowski quotes the whole game.

Tom lasorda: awesome guy. Took time to ask questions about me and almost wouldn't let me go. Comped some tickets as well. This was in 1991 or so.

I did meat John Benjamin... The guy who does the voice of archer at a bar in Dallas, had drinks with him for a while. He was very nice, and very drunk, fun guy to be around, he was definitely surprised I recognized him, and he invited me to have a drink with him

Really? I've never even seen her but my friend met her last weekend. Said she was kind of quiet and detached but not arrogant or mean.
Also not a complete train wreck like her sister. Didn't smoke and didn't get particularly drunk even though she was in a French Quarter bar.
Here are my anecdotes. I included athletes even though this is the Movie/TV board since I know more of those guys.
Personal experience
Donald Glover: Nothing like Troy from Community. Not a jerk, but definitely seems like a guy who was dorky and unpopular in high school and college who is taking advantage of all his newfound popularity. Loves to freestyle when hitting on mediocre looking white chicks with nothing going for them besides T & A. Considering this was before his Childish Gambino persona was well known, I imagine it's gotten out of control since.
James Franco: Did a secret screening of his documentary at a local film festival. Behaves just like you might expect. Kind of confused and out there. The girl he was with (not sure if a gf) was surprisingly plain looking. Saw him at a bar that was basically the equivalent of Shady's or Bogey's, which was strange. Wouldn't have expected him to go to that kind of bar.
JJ Redick- Pretty arrogant guy but intelligent and one of the few athletes who is intentionally funny. Was kind of a shithead his first 2 years. Night before a big game with a noon tip-off, I saw him drunk, bumming cigs outside a party around 11 PM. He sucked the next day. Took basketball a lot more seriously the last 2 years, and obviously his numbers went him.
Luol Deng: Nice guy. Great memory. Didn't ever drink or smoke weed but always asked Redick and the older guys to find him girls
Chris Duhon: Was the king of the campus my freshman year. Must have slept with 100+ girls in his 4 years. I bet his liver hates him.
Jason (Jay) Williams: Was rehabbing his motorcycle injuries. Saw him at tailgate getting wheeled around by Redick and Duhon, which was actually a really sad sight considering he was in the NBA just a few months before. Saw him a couple years later when we were just shooting around in the gym. Friendly guy.
Mike Posner: All of his frat buddies would laugh behind his back and say he wouldn't make it. The same guys try to get as much mileage now as possible out of his genuine success, always trying to get backstage passes
From friends who I trust entirely
One of my friends booked bands to play concerts on campus. She absolutely hated the guys from Franz Ferdinand. They had a really long list of demands and had her doing menial tasks all day. On the other hand, she loved the guys from Death Cab for Cutie. Not a lot of requests and helpful, cooperative guys.
Ashlee Simpson: Apparently really laid back and fun, but stupid. Not a big substance abuser for someone in her 20s in Hollywood (at least in the 2006-2007 time frame).
Josh McRoberts: Hated by his teammates but generally well-liked by the student body. Apparently got drunk and smoked half a pack of cigarettes pretty much every Friday and Saturday. After going pro, he started hanging out in LA with Lauren Conrad from the Hills and lost a shite ton of muscle and agility which caused his stock to tank.
