Its not bad but they need to drop the sitcom vibe and get to the real deal. I find myself intrigued when the Twilight Zone creepiness comes in..I feel like Kevin Feige shouldve had them spoof Twilight Zone and Outer Limits every episode instead of early sitcoms...just make every episode mostly creepshows

How can anyone have decided a opinion on this show after two episodes?

They have an opinion on the individual episodes. No one has an opinion on the entire series yet.
If you pay attention to details, there's a lot going on just below the surface.

Go back and watch some Avengers stuff, get a handle on just how fricked up Wanda was initially.
Contrast that with how ultra-wonderful and idyllic everything "seems" to be in these episodes... it's clearly a mindfrick. She's either dreaming or under mind-control, trying to be "normal and happy". But little shite seeps through the facade.

Take the "commercials";
the first one is the super-duper Stark toaster from the Fifties episode, will make being a happy housewife easy. -Seeing the Stark missile is what set her down the path she's on.
the second commercial is the suave "Strucker watch", made by Hydra. Strucker and Hydra developed her powers.

The big plotline has been her trying to have a normal happy family with Vision and fit in... Vision is DEAD, remember? There IS no happy life, and certainly no life with him. And he's not knocking her up, because not only is he dead, he's an android.

This is a deep-seated fantasy going on, and she's got some hellacious powers if she's a bit unhinged... which is where I think we're going. But it's not a 2 hr movie, so we don't get a 10 minute intro showing her in torment and then see the effects. It's a series, we have time to lay the groundwork pretty heavily.

This is a show to be patient with and watch it percolate, and to look for the clues to see what's going on.

I watched the first one which was really about 20 minute run time

I think it's terrible. I don't get it

It's the first 2 episodes.

It's setting up the rest of the episodes...which will get more "marvel like"

That wouldn't make narrative sense. The false reality she is trapped in is clearly designed to block out all memory of the trauma she has dealt with over the years. It doesn't matter if it's her trying to deal with her past loss or somebody else trying to control her, dropping her in a Twilight Zone atmosphere would just cause her to fight back against the alternate reality.

It reminds me somewhat of a mashup of Vanilla Sky and The Truman Show where the more strange things Tom Cruise and Jim Carrey noticed the more they began to react negatively to their surroundings. The sitcom setting she is in is an attempt to keep her happy and docile.

I've enjoyed it so far. The first episode - with its Donna Reed/Bewitched/I Dream of Genie feel - was good. The second episode was more of the same, to where I was wondering if this would be the whole series.

The end of the second episode seems to show that things will be moving on to explain why what's happening is happening.

I'll stick around for a while.

May I add Elizabeth Olson looked the part. I've always thought she was above-average looking, but she looks great in this.

I have no problems with the hallucinatory premise & slow-burn-eventual-payoff, but I think my biggest complaint is that Wanda (Olson) & Vision (Bettany) are not good physical comedians and/or the writing is just not funny. A corner of my mouth curled once in two episodes, and that was by a supporting cast-member/comedian.

Most Marvel movies excel at humor, but Hemsworth, Pratt, Rudd, RDJ etc...have the comedic chops to deliver the lines & the prat-falls, not just drama or action scenes.

Obviously, the best parts for me were the creepy ominous endings at the 2:00 warning, so I was mostly bored with all the discount TV Land stuff.

It seems to me Disney plus would want to at least have some kind of kid audience for this and some of these shows going forward

IF thats what they wanted with this, they wouldnt have made this.

I haven't watched the show and really never planned on it, but I am intrigued at what little I've read about from real people who say it's one of the single worst shows they've ever seen through the first couple of episodes. Apparently nothing happens.

Majority of the people who didn't like it are incels/simps who think every Marvel movie should have super heroes fighting bad guys.

WandaVision was a shout out to the old 50's style comedy. Live audience, corny couples jokes, etc. And the lady from 70's show was the perfect actress for the bosses wife, just a great part for her, she fits it like a glove.

I enjoyed the first 2, it's different, and will continue watching.

Will you be upset when it turns out to be about superheroes fighting bad guys?

We know it's going to get there. That's been shown in the previews.

What it is now isn't what it's going to be. So I'm reserving judgement on the show until I can least see more of the direction, but hopefully until the whole season has run. As standalone episodes, I can see why some people thought the first two left something to be desired.

I'm anxious to see how those episodes will feel upon re-watch after the whole season has run.

I get the distinct feeling that a rewatch will be tough and people will skip a lot...
Right now, we're in a Wanda fantasy. We get to see it from her perspective, so it's different. Once we move on to 'the real world', I suspect that you'll just say "she was in a mindfrick' instead of rewatching things.

It's a Marvel property so the critics will automatically give it a positive review.

I watched the first episode and I can see it turning out to be great, but this strikes me as one of those shows that requires a lot of patience.

I think I was let down a bit because I heard some comparisons to Legion.. which had me super excited. Legion got weird(er) at the end, but after the first episode I knew I was hooked for the duration.

WandaVision is not Legion. But to be fair, I think those comparisons were mostly due to people lumping all “non-standard” superhero shows into the same bucket when in reality the only similarity is... superheroes.

Found it intriguing myself.
Obvious it is going to dark places and dealing with Wanda's trauma. Someone is monitoring/manipulating her mental breakdown.
Someone else seems to want to help.
I dig it

It is not bad, it is great.

The entire concept is a mystery and no one knows what is going on except we are slowly getting clues that we are going to spend all season trying to figure out.

Another reason people hate it is because it comes out once a week. We are spoiled and if the entire series was released at once, and people could watch it to find out what the F is going on, it would be getting many more positive reviews.

I love it either way and I will be honest, I did not care to watch it to begin with but the wife made me sit through the first episode and I was hooked.
