No offense taken. LSU football, before 2000 was about as relevant as Georgia football, so you can relate.

The writer and producer of “Little Chenier” was a brother sister team from Lake Charles. About the only movie where I didn’t cringe at the accent. At the end of the movie they do a before and after shots of Rita. The chapel scene was shot at a chapel in Elton and majority was shot in south west La.

One of the house boat scenes.. was shot at a place place called "Six Flags" by folks who live around there. It's a bayou that cuts thru the swamp by my moms and comes out close to White Oak park.

That’s the joke… that I’ve seen on this site 30 times.

That people don’t mention LSU before 2000 because before that, they weren’t national contenders in college football?

Down the bayou has always been crazy about LSU football

One of the most surprising things I learned from this board is that some people in South LA, even Cajuns, actually like Southern Comfort -- you'd think they'd want to burn down Hollywood just to make sure they kill everyone connected to that film.

Southern Comfort does however have one of my all time favorite lines: Our heroes are hiding at a Cajun picnic, and Powers Boothe is still worried the villains may find them. Keith Carradine reassures him: "Relax -- these are the good Cajuns".

Meaning there are roaming bands of bad Cajuns out there terrorizing the bayous.

My favorite part was when:
Keith Carridine: you like your wife
Powers Boothe: yes, she has a good sense of humor. Why?
Keith Carridine: we’ll, if you said you didn’t like her, I’d go give her a call after we are out of this
Powers Boothe glowers, warns : I said she has a sense of humor, not me

It will never not be hilarious how insecure smalltown Louisiana people are.

Guy makes an obvious joke that any football fan should get, but yall can't let it go because yall got your poor little Looziana feelings hurt.

A: I've never heard that joke outside of SECR.

B: OP is a trolling phaggot.

I’d go with The Apostle with Rober Duvall or Swamp Thing with Adrienne Barbeau.

Saban first season at LSU was 2000 and turned around a program coming off a losing season. I think you are confused with people potential referencing Saban tenure

I certainly hope you've seen The Alligator People (1959). It pops up on cable from time to time.

It's a joke that gets thrown around on the SEC Rant all of the time. The joke is that to some LSU football didn't start until Saban. OP has the part wrong about it being said by LSU fans though, it's everyone else.
