Rewatching breaking bad, and my hate for her is just exponentially higher than the first time. Dude is making a million a month and she serves him
divorce papers

Rewatched the series a few months ago and went ahead and fast forwarded through her scenes . Makes the show so much better

It wouldn't have been the show it was if she was just cool with everything.

Then it would've just been Bonnie and Clyde.

The fact Walter has to fight drug lords, his family at home and his brother-in-law makes the show.

He's living a double-life on all fronts.

I asked my GF if I cooked meth would she divorce/break up with me if I did what Walt did. She said no, but she would rather me be honest up front. She also said she would be more mad that I was working with dangerous folks than the fact that I was breaking the law and cooking Meth

Well, let’s see what I can remember.
1. Smokes while pregnant even already has a kid cerebral palsy.
2. Smokes after giving birth in room with baby. I guess her blowing smoke made it all better.
3. Nags Walt about his secrets in S1 and 2(rightfully so). But when Walt says he will tell her everything, her response: “I’m afraid to know”. Make up your mind, lady.
4. Pushes Walt for divorce. Walt finally signs the paper. Still unhappy even when she gets her way.
5. Pushes for the idea of car wash to launder money. Gets car wash. Then Walt brings her money to launder and she said “I never wanted any of this”. Uh, remember your idea of the car wash?
6. Ok, she bangs Ted. Rubs it in walt’s Face. Ok, she was frustrated. But if she’s getting even with Walt, why go back to banging Ted again and again. On one occasion she made Marie babysit while she made a quickie stop at Ted’s house.

I do give her credit of conjuring up tears to get out of shite situations(tiara shop, locksmith, hank at diner). She’s got sone skills there. But overall a unlikeable, hypocrite. And if that misogyny then add my wife and sister to the list because they hate her guts.

My problem with her character was she always had one foot in the boat. She waffles between acting appalled by Walt’s actions and being ok with playing a key role in a multi million dollar money laundering scheme. And she bitched at every opportunity along the way.

That type of stuff happens to normal “good” guys all the time

Skylar definitely deserves some hate. No doubt about it. But I think she gets too much hate sometimes. She was extremely unlikeable, but she could have been wayyy worse once she found out what Walt was doing

Any episode that spent too much time on walt's family was a shitty episode.

Eh the drug lords part was pretty entertaining

Skylar bitching nonstop, less so.

Yes, and I'm not so sure it's the character as much as it is the actress...for those that have seen deadwood, when she rides into Deadwood she's Skylar White from the first second and her scenes would bring the show to a halt

Have you ever known any women? This is one of the most realistic aspects of the show.

I agree that when she doesn't know and he has to hide everything is the best part of the show.

When she knows and pulls the family out is understandable given they have a baby and the scum of the earth Walter is dealing with.

When she knows and kinda goes along with it at the point of a bayonet so to speak - that was the weakest part of the show.

IDK, she had real world reasons to hate what Walt was doing...like two Mexican bros showing up at her front door with axes.

On the other hand...all Ray Barone wanted to do is play a little golf once in awhile and go down to his basement and write his column and he never stopped getting shite for not helping out by Debra Barone.

Debra Barone...sheesh. What a shrew.

Imagine the show strictly from her POV.

Walt would come off as shady.

Walter wasnt a good man, but you enjoyed him because of his performance, combined with the writing and cinematic production of Breaking bad.

We got to see the creation of a villain.

No, Hank was the one gaining in that time. Him on Fring and Walter juggling between the two, Still hiding things from her in S4 was great, that allowed her character to change. It was needed.

Have you ever known any decent woman? If the women in your life are like Skyler white, then you got no backbone or no choice of women.

Besides, the OP asked a question about a Skyler white. And I gave my non sugar coated opinions.
