Leslie Jones would’ve been better in the Achilles role

Yep.
“ It’s been confirmed recently that she is playing a part of Odysseus’ crew. Small part but significant when he visits the Underworld.”

Sticking to the story?
What's the story?
You figs bitch about everything and don't know frick all about the "source material".
Who cares? Is it a fun movie? Was it worth the money?
Sorry the ethnic purity of a millenia old fairy tale doesn't really move the meter for me.
If it does for you, you're a bitch.

To the cast and creative team of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey,
We write to you as Greeks, not as fragments of antiquity, not as echoes from museum displays, and not as characters sealed in marble, but as a living people whose story has never stopped being written.
Open letter to Nolan from the Greeks. Greek City Times.
* I see there's 1 DV for the Greeks. Bravo, SJW.

Again, why would Turks be in this movie? Yes, Troy is in Anatolia, but the Turks did not show up in Anatolia until around 2000 years after the events depicted in the Odyssey.

Its weird to put zero greeks in the movie, but maybe this is gonna be an "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" style retelling
And obviously thats hyperbole but there is plenty room for interpretations of classic stories.

It isn't. It's called The Odyssey. The cast of characters are directly from Homer's works.
If Nolan wanted to do a retelling, Oh Brother Where Art Thou has already been done.

Counterpoint: Travis Scott is in this

How is that a counter point? Nolan said it fits in with the oral tradition of a bard telling a story.
He’s just doing it very poorly.
