Watch season one.

Take the closure they give you from that season and don't look back.

The second season advances the story line all of 5 minutes and made me hate every character.

Probably the worst ending to a series I have ever seen

It gives Dexter a run for its money. But I still give the lumberjack a slim advantage.

I’ll echo what others have said.

Found the show while looking for something new and was hooked enough to watch the first season in only a few days. The second season was okay but the third season felt like a chore to watch - it wasn’t the worst thing ever, but if I were to rewatch the show I’d probably stop after the first season.

As a side note: Something about Sissy Spacek just irritates me. Not sure what exactly it is, maybe the way she talks or her mannerisms, but I’ve never liked her as an actor.

Fun fact, Norbert Leo Butz, the actor that plays white trash frick up Kevin, is a Broadway actor and played the original Fiyero in Wicked.

I agree with you. I think it's the nose. She has a crazy little nose.

The entire series is worth a watch. The first two seasons are outstanding

Season 1 was as good a show as you will see. The writing, pacing, direction and action are fantastic.

Season 2 is solid, just not quite at the same level, but still very good.

Season 3.......don’t bother. Show loses its way, writing not as good and it seems they had no idea how to end it.

I don't get the people that say stop after 1 or 2 seasons. It's easy for you to say that knowing what you know but a first timer that's going to be totally consumed with it isn't going to just be able to cut ties cold turkey. It also isn't THAT bad later on. It's definitely not as good as early seasons and IMO (from what I remember anyway) it's really only the last 3 or 4 episodes that kinda tank. I'd definitely recommend watching though.

And FTR to new viewers, the keys ended their filming tax credits on short notice IIRC which forced them to basically wrap up the entire series fast as frick, like much faster than they anticipated. I believe it was supposed to go at LEAST 1 more season, but when they found out they couldnt' film there anymore they basically had to finish up the whole thing in just a few more episodes, which explains the rushed and lower quality end.

Loved 1 and 2 was decent. They obviously just wrote 3 as quick as possible to be done with it once the show was cancelled. It’s awful.

Frick the writers of Dexter, bro. It's the worst ending ever.

Could not agree more WG. How many damn series on this board to people say this about? Seems like every series. Most series are better, or assumed better, early on. Very few get better as they go.

Bloodline is certainly worth the watch. I would have loved to see it go on but honestly, that type of story only has a few seasons in it then they just have to try too hard

I would have liked to see a more definite ending but I really liked the entire thing

It has a tremendous cast. It is a beautiful show. It is boring as frick and poorly plotted, like a lot of Netflix originals.

I watched season 1 and called it.
