Tony Stark: Made his 1st suit in a cave with a bunch of spare parts & a wedge of shrapnel lodged near his heart.
Riri Williams: No one has had to struggle like she has!

This show will fail spectacularly.

That, and the regressives will call it "review bombing" when people point out how shitty the product is. Just like every piece of woke trash the leftist push out.
Oh, and Corinthians420, sammytiger, and dawgfanrandomnumbers will all tell us how it's "actually pretty good" and we're just bringing our politics into the movie.

They could actually make this realistic if the issues she faced came from her own community where academic achievement is very often ridiculed and actively discouraged.
THAT would actually be cultural relevant.
But yeah a critique of American black culture ain’t gonna happen

That would be actual bravery. Disney prefers shallow "bravery" where they preach the same nonsense the rest of Hollywood preaches.

The CGI looks like shite. Like really bad.

This was already difficult to pull off, but every likeable portion of her personality in the comics was removed for the live action version.
Her intro in the comics was rough - nowhere near as good as Miles Morales, but she wasn't nearly as abrasive in the comics so it was easier to eventually not mind her so much.
The MCU version is just... ugh.

Cool, dude.
Usually when publishers introduce alternate, young versions of characters using standard "kid genius" and tough family life tropes, it's to attempt to engage a younger generation in reading and buying the comics.
But I like that you think this show will be for adults, and that you're so intelligent, you're among the elite group of adults who won't be swayed by such clever propaganda. That makes sense.
I answered the question "Who is this for?" I won't be watching this kids show that sounds bad to me, and neither will anyone here, but this will be marketed to and aimed for an audience of kids. Many of you will be yelling at it for its politics, warranted or not -- I'll never know. But it will still be for kids.

They’ve started to write characters with upside down morality. The characters who display virtue, selflessness and courage are now viewed as bad and the selfish, shallow and cruel characters are the good ones. It’s bizarre

Exactly.
At best, she's the 4th most consequential black woman in Wakanda Forever

And the “New Avengers” are all seasoned, highly trained assassins with gallons of blood on their hands.

Well I’m racist so I’m not watching

If you’ve watched Batwoman or Canadian Robin Hood you’ve already seen every Disney+ show anyway.

I really thought that Alden Ehrenreich would have a better career. It's a shame that a director hasn't been able to get a great performance out of him since the Coen brothers had him in Hail, Caesar.
