They aren't so bad, but I can't avoid making fun of them either.

Ok, take that back, Cars 2 is pretty bad.

Apparently, I'm just out of step with everyone's Pixar opinions, but I really liked Brave. But I think the reason it does poorly on this board is that it is about mothers and daughters, and this board skews pretty heavily towards dude films (which is why the board overrates the Incredibles, which is a fun superhero adventure film, but not top tier Pixar)

I almost moved it up a tier. I just haven't seen it enough. I think My problem is that I think both Ratatouille and Brave are excellent films that just aren't even kids films. I think those films, not Up, are the ones that are tough to rate, and tough to assess as family movies.

(And Brave is so much better than recent parent/child films. Like way better.)

Inside Out appears to be a copy of Herman's Head.

Although I definitely consider Up, Wall-E and TS3 to be better films, am I the only person that just really loves Ratatouille? I just like it a lot.

I like Ratatouille, but I downgrade it for completely failing as a children's film. Lil Poseur hates it, and in my experience, I've never met a kid who likes the film. I love a movie that can entertain both kids and adults, and I do give Wall-E a bit of a pass for aiming squarely at adults. But Ratatouille doesn't work as a kid's film. That's my biggest knock.

Still a very good movie, though. It's just a cartoon aimed at adults.

See above.

It's such a tough film to rate. Did I enjoy Finding Nemo more? Probably. But Ratatouille is like Up, it's a film, not an animated kids movie. I really really like. Honestly the only Pixar movie that I actively dislike is probably Cars 2, maybe Monsters University, which felt a little cheap.

Ratatouille is my favorite Pixar film, followed by Toy Story, The Incredibles, and Wall-E. Looking forward to Inside Out (as I do with all Pixar offerings).

It's origin comes from an old "ride" called Cranium Command in EPCOT.

I'm usually not a contrarian on this board but I legit hate Up. Seriously. frick Up.

That movie was manipulative and depressing.

I said this to my wife and she didn't know what I was talking about and she's 31.

Without a doubt that's what it is. I remember watching that show. It was cool and probably ahead of it's time.

It's a totally satisfying adventure with lot of surprising twists, and one of the best emotional payoffs in the Pixar canon.

It's a look at the death of childhood so devastating it's not clear what very, very young viewers - that is, ones younger than its main child character, age 11 - will get out of it, if anything

Pete Docter has re-imagined the cartoon, following lines of logic that cross Warner Bros.' lunacy with Disney folklore and Studio Ghibli's spiritual fancy.

A glorious, sweet, funny, charming and incredibly moving masterpiece that easily fits the bill as Pixar's best outing since 2010's Toy Story 3.

Someday the children of the children who will love this film, will love this film

Still at 100% and 91% on Metacritic. This film is going to be amazing.
