Just got home.. wow, I had high hopes for this one and it didn’t disappoint. Thanos was a badass and Thor was awesome. I was really surprised that Gamora died. I thought the humor was perfect and didn’t feel overdone. I had the red skull appearance spoiled earlier today so didn’t get to be surprised by that.

Enjoyed it, was exactly what I expected it be and it delivered. Only complaint is that some of the humor is a little inappropriate for the situation.

Also why didn’t Strange at least attempt to conjure up a time loop like he did in his solo movie?

Peter Dinklage was a nice surprise for me, and he was finally taller than everyone else.

That was one of the best movies I've ever seen. They Game of Thrones'd it. Had separate story lines which ended up being woven together. I'm in awe over how awesome that movie was.

Holy shite.

This movie was just as good as sex if not better just slightly.

Thanos absolutely wrecked shite to a level that I just wasn't absolutely expecting. He clearly gave no fricks at all.

Killing off half of the cast was a very bold move that I didn't think Marvel had in them but I will make a prediction here that while the cast who disappeared at the end of the movie will likely be resurrected, the pope who were killed by ordinary means like Gamora and Vision will not be resurrected.

But I just have to shake my head at the stupidity of some of the decisions made here. There was two clear opportunities to defeat Thanos.

One was destroying the vision stone before Thanos could get it and they didn't have the guts to let Vision make that sacrifice in the face of an apocalyptic madman like Thanos. That was moral cowardice and self defeating purity.

Another was Quill's moment of losing his nerves after hearing about Gamora and throwing a punch at Thanos causing the others to lose their hold on him and thus he made them sorely regret it after. Dude, if you're going to be fighter someone so powerful like Thanos, there is zero room for error and strategic and behavioral mistakes.

All in all, Infinity War is the best Marvel film to date. Just an amazing al around masterpiece that left me hanging for more.

Couldn’t Thanos revive Gamora now? Obviously Star Lord, Spider-Man, and Dr Strange aren’t gone.

In the very least, have some sort of sword to stab him with.

I’ve given Thanos shite for the past decade for being a fricking hack and Darkseid rip-off

Darkseid is stil a much better villain as he's pure evil and there is nothing but malice, cruelty, rage and hate in his mind and blackened heart and he only seeks control of the universe and outright annihilation of it if he can't enslave it.

If DC can ever get him right in a movie, he would shite all over this version of Thanos who thinks he's doing what he's doing for the right reasons to better everyone and the universe.

For example, after getting all the six stones, Darkseid would've killed all of the avengers still alive in Wakanda instead of leaving them there like Thanos did.

Could he do that and still keep the soul stone?

Strange definitely has (had?) a plan.

So they're going away from the pleasing Death angle from the comics or is part 2 likely gonna delve into that.

Loved the movie though

I tend to prefer those villains in some way as well. I think Nolan’s Joker and Anton Chigrugh meet this definition. I liked the humanity Thanos displayed, and he explained himself well and didn’t seem overly cruel. I expected him to just be a mindless monster, but he was not that. I pleasantly surprised and found that to be a redeeming feature.

Ultron is the one who should have been the unsympathetic monster and simply horrifying. They have mostly made up for it with Thanos... but man Ultron was such a missed opportunity. Done correctly, Ultron should have been as terrifying as Ledger’s Joker.

GOTG would be 5-6 for me.

Infinity war is the best marvel film to date because there is so much at stake and the villain is cutting deep to the heart of every character's essence.

It even had a moment of noble self sacrifice where the villain turned it against the heroes. You just can't top that.

Thoroughly impressed all around. Not my favorite MCU movie but loved how they were able to paint the picture.

Wished: Silver Surfer has shown up to warn people, wish Death was shown as the true reason for all this, and wished some Warlock was hinted at.

Loved: the struggle with vision and Scarlet, the battles, Starlord’s humor, Groot actually doing something, and everyone dying.

This was the whole theme for Quill in the movie. Quill’s ‘strategically’ inept and failed @ every attempt to formulate a plan the entire time.

I see the argument that it may be the best. My only disappointment was the spoiler whore critics who should be ashamed of themselves. I’ll need to sleep on it, because I did love this film, but immediately it sits lower than the two I mentioned. This movie exceeded my expectations since I expected it to be sloppy, but it wasn’t really. The Russos know what the frick they are doing.
