I didn't bother staying till the end because Pixar movies don't usually do that. Good to know then!

It’s really nothing to stay for.

It’s not a post credit scene.

I typically stay because it gives me a chance to catch up with what has happened since I “unplugged” at start of the film

Looking on Fandango and this afternoon’s showings are close to sold out everywhere.

So...does the whole family get involved in saving the day, or is basically just the Elastigirl show while Bob stays home like the preview makes it out to be?

Here is a thought: considering the high review score and the glowing remarks in the thread, who cares how it is done? That seems to be a rather stupid point to be on the fence about in light of the new information.

You saying you don't know the answer? I think it's pretty clear that review scores have lost all credibility, so I will not rely on those. I've seen reviews claim it's an SJW disaster and reviews say it's a thinly veiled "men's rights" piece. My question is far more simple than that. Is it about a super family saving the world, or about just the mom saving the world?

This would be a desirable result.

It’s why I said “and the glowing remarks in this thread” as well.

And I’ve seen it.

I was mostly wondering how much it might suck if you are so easily triggered. You made it sound like you wouldn’t go if it were one of the options.

If it IS Elastigirl saving the day, what difference does it make if the overall product is good? This was your question, not if the writers got preachy. Are you that victimized by SJWs that you go on guard automatically now if there is a female lead? “No no, it’s okay. The female stays where she belongs.”

FFS. Actually, it might be best if you just skipped it. There where a couple of SJW-y parts that I was concerned what they might do (and left satisfied) but they’ll probably leave you froathing at the mouth.

I can’t think of any real SJW parts in this. Since when has women working been SJW? The film if anything seems to talk about the importance of fathers, something the SJWs avoid like the plague.

Saw it today. I put it just below the original. More lol moments but a boring, obvious villain. I can’t even remember her “real” name right now. My son loved it, too. Jack Jack stole the show but I like his interaction with Edna more than the raccoon.

The short was the worst I’ve seen from Pixar. Just... weird.

Not necessarily. A large part of the first film was Elastigirl "saving the day," but a larger part was the family saving the day together. Is the family supergroup banding together as a family to save humanity aspect thrown out in favor of "girl power," or not?

It was more of hot button topics being brought up (ala girl talk couch scene) and being concerned with what they were going to do with it.

I ended up being very pleased with the excecution.

Agreed.

“Wait is it happening or is she imagining it?”

Answer turned out to be neither, she is batshit insane.

Good but not as great as the first.

Some boring conversations here and there.

Wish they hadn’t Karate Kid 2’d it by starting with the Underminer. That sort of dampens the ending from the first.

But it keeps up the franchise well. My favorite part was the Incredicar.

Fantastic sequel. I’m very happy with it. They expanded on their personalities and the family dynamic really well. Jack jack’s powers were hilarious. Villains were predictable, but the kids showing they had learned from the parents really brought it all together

I thought it was fantastic.

Jack Jack and the Racoon and the Incredobile scenes stole the show. But there was lots to enjoy.

Anyone who was hung up on SJW stuff obviously missed the point - hell the lady doing most of the SJW talking ended up the bad guy - what does that tell you?

Mr. Incredible gets it done in the house. Elastagirl was the proper pick for what they needed on the mission initially.

Underminer still at large. Hopefully the 3rd movie coming sooner than this one.

Good god man.

It's an animated movie...

People like you who look for something to cry about in everything live a miserable life.

I said Bomb Voyage should be the big bad in the next one, but now I am thinking Honey. She thought she had Lucius to herself, and now they're legal again, so her evenings are always in danger. She creates some sort of Phantom Zone or "power stealer" so that the supers aren't able to do anything.
