She went against the advise of her trusted advisors and was crushed under the weight of her own ambition which also killed the man she loved. I'm not sure why people seem to think it's such a sweet ending. They want to live for their unborn child who also dies with them.

Given the number of major characters who died underwhelming deaths, this fits.

Drogo, Renly, and Tywin in particular stick out.

Mercy kill after an infected booboo, stabbed by a shadow queef, and shot with a crossbow while taking a shite.

Ramsay’s death is one of the few I can think of which ended up being completely satisfying.

Meh this doesn't bother me much.

Her denial as the city was falling made up for her getting the death she wanted. She never "embraced" death until the moment she was about to die.

Why could they not shoot Thanos.

I get he was great with that double sword thingy, but 20 people with rifles should make quick work of him.

See, every movie can be complained about if someone tries hard enough.

Well, let’s see if we can come up with a better death for Cersei.

We can have Dany burn her, but the object of last night’s episode was not to show Dany, but the widespread effect of her wrath.

So, we could have Arya kill her, but then we would have a hero of the show murdering a pregnant woman.

Or we could have Jon execute her, personally, which is his style... but that would have the hero of show executing a pregnant woman.

Or... we could have her go out as she came in... in the arms of her twin, with her world literally falling around her.

So, how would you have killed her?

Ah yes, I remember Thanos being a 100 lbs woman whose greatest physical feats are walking down stairs naked and lifting a wine glass

Did you want her to fight the hound?

I thought her death was one of the most poetic GRRM deaths we seen. It was great.

The bigger travesty to me, given the general theme of the first few seasons, is that she was allowed to reunite with Jaime for a loving end. That's not at all what this story is about, or it wasn't when it was still tied to the books.

ASOIAF has been Hollywooded.

So... you think Cersei begging for her life, while still not being accountable, crying, and having her palace crumble around her, was not fitting?

Think it matches her well

Why are people making it seem like scared and begging to get out of a crumbling castle for the sake of your unborn child and not being able to do anything about it before being crushed is a happy, warm death?

He wasn't in 21 films. He didn't show up until after the credits in the sixth movie.

Is that what you thought it was last night? A loving end?

The criticisms of this show jumped the shark a long time ago.

It sucks for Jamie but it's fitting for Cersai. She's a complex character IMO, I don't get people who treat her like a pure villain (Joffrey, etc.).

You need to rewatch the first seasons for a refresher about what death is about on that show.

If you're ok with the family reunion and comforting that went on, maybe the Young and the Restless is more your speed.

Jaime should have been finished off by Euron instead of surviving a couple of deep stab wounds, and maybe the Hound should have put an end to Cersei when she was 3 feet away from him on the stairs.

I thought this was pretty satisfying personally.

Killed with a crossbow by your midget son you've tormented all his life while you're taking a dump? Quite personal and anything but underwhelming I'd say.

She has been given shite advice for 2 seasons, lost most of her advisors, 2 dragons. I dont blame her for going ham on KL.

I did laugh my arse off at that. She just kind of sashayed past him like: “Ok, I think I’m just going to leave now”.
