I wonder if he ever got the funding for his hot dog invention.

Those elevator handrails aren't welded on. When I lived in NYC I had a drunk friend damn near knock himself out because he grabbed one and leaned the other direction

I don’t even give a frick about stupid Riri and girl power shite, it’s the fact that we watched armored suits for 10 years in the MCU between Stark and Rhodes.

Watching another one piloted by a young girl prodigy doesn’t do a damn thing for me. I have zero interest in another powered suit superhero because we’ve been there done that.

Disney just continues to keep me at bay with the shite they are pumping out.

It’s his typical hypocrisy. When a YouTuber parrots his preferences he has no problem referencing them and reposting their takes. It’s only when someone differs from his opinions that they’re dismissed. What’s even more ridiculous is he doesn’t even watch the videos, has no idea what these people are saying and only makes assumptions based on thumbnails or what’s others like him claim. It’s the typical two pillars of all his takes, ignorance and hypocrisy,

Oh i know. Thats why i used the example of that 1,000 lb sisters show having 7 seasons.

Im not blaming the cooks, I think people tuning in to watch stuff like that and watch youtubers make fun of shows like Ironheart do it for the same reasons. So they can pat themselves on the back.

I guess I've been in ones that are constructed a bit better... but to be fair, I've never tried to it's distinctly possible I have always overestimated how well they're attached

Three times you brought up race as the reason you already hate it and other projects like it, yet you want people to believe there aren't people out there who will shite on it solely because of race? Alright man

Didn't say I already hate it.

My point with the race thing is that if the show focuses on Riri's struggles with race, then it will be pointless. There are ways to make minority characters interesting without it being about race especially now. If it were written in the 1960s during segregation, then yes, race probably should play a big part. Not in 2025. Once again, have better writing.

Everyone loves Sam Wilson as Falcon but the show tried to make it seem like he was hated because he was black? Marvel has mingled in this area before. You can write great characters without making everything a social commentary. Hell Captain America 4 did an actual good job of just showing Sam being Sam. Falcon and Winter Soldier showed Sam not getting a loan because he was black.

And yes there are people that will shite on it because of race. That is the vast minority compared to those that will shite on it because a teenager is smarter and better than Tony Stark. It took him 10 years to perfect his suit but a teenager will do it within 1. That's my point.

Yeah, but how far do you have to reach to find the lowest hanging fruit to claim a win and feel good about it? Haha there are 7 seasons of this show so i guess it depends on your audience

Would they only cancel this show if just one of the sisters died?

4. Riri is not a muscular person in the MCU or the comics, but her first act includes pulling a metal bar from the interior of an elevator off the wall - something a fully grown, in good shape man would have trouble doing. This is in the first scene we see her in for the trailer, definitely setting a tone.

This is absolute 2022 garbage. And I'm tired of pretending it's not.

Leave it Disney to go all in on a character that even comic book readers have no use for. Hard pass.

Just watched the trailer. Looks like dogshite. Also, there is nothing in the trailer about race. Maybe it will be there in the show, but this trailer included the protagonist being attracted to money, and the conflict that comes with potentially selling out your ideals to acquire it. Also, she's not the only genius around.

These issues don't feel race specific, especially given literature written in virtually every culture across millennia.

A trailer is just a trailer, but everyone having a race conversation is discussing an issue not present in the conflict presented in said trailer.

Ironheart didn’t perform well in its comic book form. The character is insufferable and clearly a DEI insert. I don’t know what they were thinking initially and why anyone thought this would be a good character to bring to the screen.

Funny how Disney Marvel only goes to great lengths to make really bad characters authentic & source material accurate.

DV can't back up his view, just doesn't like seeing the truth posted on here.

Cool.
