I recommend re watching In Time(2011)

Particularly if the last time you saw it was before your 30s.
The story is good enough on it's own. It has good suspense and plenty of eye candy, but the way it nearly perfectly describes modern society between the haves and have nots makese me appreciate it more.
Solid re watchable, and you can pick it up cheap to own digital.

Wasn’t bad but ended up forgetting to return it …in time. So now I own it. Don’t think I ever watched it again.

There is basically an entire genre of movie where corporations are the 'bad guys', yet IRL, it's the government which invariably does bad actions, or coerces corporations to act badly on behalf of the government. In Time is a great example of that.

‘In Time’ is like someone dreamed a Chris Nolan script and then woke up and scribbled down everything they could remember. It’s like Nolan without a single bit of the nuance that makes his movies fun.

A corporation is nothing more than a group of people who work together for a common purpose. Government is simply the biggest and most powerful example.

True. One of the best romcoms in a long time.
As to the OP,I like the movie, but agree with the premise that it would have been better by a better director like Nolan.
I don’t disagree with the social messages presented, but like with most movies trying to make a point, they spend their time attacking a straw man that doesn’t exist.
Carnival Row, Handmaid's Tale, etc. are guilty of this. Good, but making an argument against a caricature of their foe.
