I haven’t seen a bunch of “classic” movies. Help me pick one

So with the extra free time this quarantine has provided, I’ve been trying to sit down and watch classic movies that I haven’t seen.
So far I’ve watched:
The Harry Potter series
Good Will Hunting
The Godfather series (all time favorite)
The Shining
American Psycho
Night Crawler
Classics I still haven’t seen:
Pulp Fiction
Ex Machina
Killing of a Sacred Deer
Wedding Crashers
The Departed
Lord of the Rings series
Shutter Island
Fight Club
Shawshank Redemption
Zodiac
Dallas Buyers Club
Django
Revenant
Taxi Driver
There Will be Blood
Out of these I’ve yet to watch, what would you recommend? I typically enjoy strong character-driven movies

Prepare for a lot of “those aren’t classics” comments.
I’d start more recent with No Country,
There will be blood, Revenant, etc.
Because It seems like a lot of movies on your list are post 90’s.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
LOTR isn’t really “character driven”, but still a great movie series.

Seen no country and obviously loved it. Need to add there will be blood to the list, I’ve heard it’s great.

Yeah, I’m a 90’s kid so a lot of these recommendations come from friends who are my age. I’m open to any suggestions, though. Godfather 1 and 2 are two of my favorite films of all time and they were 70’s movies, so I’m definitely open to anything

From your list, I'd start with Shawshank.

LOTR, but I'm a nerd.

I will be honest with you. The Revenant is well done and interesting, but its a bit of a grind of a movie. I found it to be a movie I am glad I saw, but never want to see again.
Must sees on that list
Pulp Fiction
Shawshank Redemption
LOTR Series (do a movie weekend)

I'll confess to laughing aloud upon reading "The Harry Potter series" atop a list of classic movies.
That said, rather than "Pulp Fiction," begin by watching the first film directed by Quentin Tarantino, "Reservoir Dogs." It's one of my favorite movies and a stone-cold classic. You'll quote the dialogue for the rest of your life. Check it out ASAP.

What do you mean, "you don't tip"?

Seconded. From your list, I’d go
Pulp Fiction
The Departed
Shutter Island
Fight Club
Shawshank
Dallas Buyers Club
There Will Be Blood
for sure.
A couple of must sees not listed, if you haven’t already:
Se7en
Gangs of New York

At least you listed some real classics.
Add some these -
Dr. Strangelove
Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Stalag 17
Bridge Over the River Kwai
Any of the Hitchcock classics - Vertigo, Rear Window, North by Northwest
And the original Manchurian Candidate from 1962

These three jumped out at me as sure winners.

Going by your “haven’t seen yet” list I noticed “True Romance” was absent. That one is a must see imho. One of my all time favorites.

Definitely need to start with Shawshank

Lord of the Rings jumps out at me. Definitely do that one, and don’t bother with The Hobbit series.
Also highly recommend wedding crashers. Shawshank is one of those movies that’s been referenced and parodied so many times in other movies and shows that much of the film will feel familiar, same with The Godfather.
