The Shield is a superior show. It grabs you by the throat from the start and never let's go.

Haven't read much of the thread for fear of spoilers, but I am almost done with season three of The Wire, and I'm loving it. It's really good IMO. Glad I finally listened to everyone and started it.

Internet has multiple "Top 50 Greatest Wire Characters" list.

Any time a show can say they have 50 great characters, you know its a amazing show.

My favorite of all time. It was tough for me to say that too and have it jump The Sopranos.

The last 10 minutes of the episode where all they said was F*ck. I was like WTF?!?

Seemed kinda stupid and childish. I find it interesting but not making me think "when can I watch the next one."

Dear God, STFU. Stand up, walk around your house, your office or wherever you are and every 5 steps, stop and tell yourself to STFU.

Then go to the roof and swan dive into hot power lines, all the way down telling yourself to STFU.

Not hooked yet. When does it get good? Should I keep watching?

Didn't read any of this thread but I had the same experience at the beginning. Just push through. It's well worth your time to do so.

Well I just started season 5, and I have a bad feeling this the whole "serial killer" thing with McNulty is a jump the shark moment...
