I do not care what anybody thinks she is the most miserable piece of shite character in that series. I will be doing backflips if they fricking off her nasty arse.

Not to derail your thread, but has any actress been more type cast as "the bitch" than Laura Linney?
In Searching For Bobby Fischer she played the teacher that got reamed by the kid's Dad for downplaying how important chess is.
She was the annoying lawyer in Primal Fear.
She was a bitch to Clint Eastwood as his daughter in Absolute Power.
She was the horrendous bitch in The Truman Show married to Jim Carrey.
Obviously Wendy on Ozark.
Only thing I can think of off hand where she wasn't horrible was in John Adams.
Which kind of sucks, because she might eb the nicest person ever as far as I know, but so many of the characters she'd played have been so awful that I automatically feel a certain way about her when I see her.

I only really like Marty. The show has jumped the shark big time. The characters are all too dumb and unlikeable.

I always thought my problem is, I just don't care Laura Linney. So Idk if I would hate Wendy Byrde quite as much if she were cast differently. I think they did a great job with the cast for the most part, but totally missed the mark with Wendy. Aside from me not liking Laura Linney, I just don't think she and Jason Bateman are believable as a couple.

I don't want any spoilers or anything like that but rarely does a show like this end the way it really should.
The fact of the matter is that Wendy should survive and win. She's intelligent, visceral, she can read her audience beautifully. Reptilian blood flows through her veins and she knows how to expose vulnerabilities.
In real life, people like that win every day. Corporate boardrooms are filled with them. In fiction, they should from time to time win too.
I'm pro Wendy because I want a logical conclusion to this show.

Ruth doesn't even remotely punch in Wendy's weight class and if Ruth were to take her out, it would only cheapen the show.

Marty is the only one I actually like. My like/dislike of Ruth is in direct relation to if she’s working with, or against Marty. I fricking hate Jonah.
ETA: oh, and I’ve always liked Charlotte. So Marty, Charlotte and sometimes Ruth. Everyone else can die. Lol

I thought she was very good in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. But I decided I hate her when I had to watch her in The Big C. And I hate her more in Ozark.
