That’s why it would make sense to have a third party show up as an antagonist while Kylo completes a redemption arc of sorts.

Yea, I just don't know who. There aren't a lot of ways to bring in a big powerful third party threat and not completely shite on the OT and PT.

I kinda thought it was common thought that after the demise of Vader and the Emperor, the remnants of the empire evolved into the first order....
They have something very interesting potentially set up with Kylo and Hux...no way those 2 guys stay on the same side...they hate eachother so much.

We all know the First Order will be defeated by a band of Ewoks, Porgs, and BB units. It's the only logical conclusion.

Kid is full of shite. He made similar false statements about his own character in both 7 and 8. HE is just being a hype man.

Have an army of General Grievouses. Disney has the CGI budget to have a hundred of them on the screen at a time. It would be so visually appealing, and you could just say they were dormant and only activated in case of Imperial Emergency, that way you dont need a backstory that falls in line with everything else...just, "remember that guy, its just him times 100". Rey and Julio have to join forces to beat them.
Best part is that they are gender neutral.

I'm honestly ok with this as long as Krillain and Yamcha get owned.

J.J. wrote a bunch of backstory on the Empire post Jakku. Elements of the Empire left to join TFO, but the Empire still exists. You can check all this stuff out on youtube.

They've shown that force ghosts have the power to throw lightning. An army of dead Jedi could take out the entire Imperial Fleet.
But instead we'll get a few people scurrying around trying to turn off a tractor beam or a tracker.
Say what you want about Lucas, but he built up the scope of this universe. The recent sequels have quickly made it smaller and smaller.

What Imperial Remnant are you talking about? The firt Order IS the imperial remnant.

They are not. JJ has made this abundantly clear in his writing post Jakku. All you have to do is YouTube it and the answer is there.

Where would Thrawn have been for the 40 years oneTag
Inbetween?
The new movies should have followed the Zahn trilogy.

Thrawn is with TFO. He delivered the Eclipse to Snoke.

The final battle should be C3PO vs Darth Jar Jar.
I honestly believe they could make this look better than the shite sandwich they put up this time.
I also would love watching the implosion of the movie board. It would make 1/9/12 look like a typical Monday night.

quote:This is beyond stupid, then, to totally leave this part out. I never had to read a book to enjoy or make sense out of Star Wars, and I won't start now. "Go watch it on youtube" is not a valid answer. We're 2/3 of the way through this trilogy, and and we have not had one mention of the Empire as another entity. We have a group with Tie Fighters and Stormtroopers. Those are Imperial symbols. We have a group led by Princess Leia, with C3PO and R2D2 in tow; that's the Rebellion that won the war against the Empire.

You can't present something different now, and do anything other than confuse the shite out of everyone and just piss everyone off for wasting our time. If the Empire is still out there and we've been focusing on the undercard all this time, it's a disaster.

I youtube JJ Abram and Imperial remnant, nothing showed up for that. The only part of Imperial Remnant I see is in the LEgacy universe which is all now defuncted.
