re: How is Darth Maul not higher on lists of Star Wars badassery?

In Rebels, Old Ben kills Maul ("Once a Darth, now just Maul") on Tattooine when he threatens to expose Luke.

He was a Master just denied a council seat for unorthodoxy.

He's the one that even in death set up being able to teach future Jedi. Since the movies mostly ditched the Holocron idea of them acting like Krypton's crystals.

Maul was a good saber fighter.

That is all we know about him. He beats Qui Gonn, who is not a good saber fighter, and padawan Obi Wan.

He is clearly not good with the force, because a simple force jump by Obi Wan blew his fricking mind.

Seasoned Obi would have ruined Maul's shite with just sabers.

Maul is only remembered and expounded on, for the same reason Boba Fett is. . .they looked cool.

If you just look at the main films, Boba Fett is wothless, and Darth Maul is a throwaway assassin

He looked bad arse, but he got worked by pretty much everyone. The Emperor absolutely spanked him and had him whining like a little girl with a skint knee. Obi Wan EASILY killed him.

Interesting graphic. IMO the whole series is quality and should be viewed by any serious fan. Rebels too. Clone wars in particular fills in the gaps in the prequels. For me it is the prequel.

One thing about graphic is it leaves off season 6 aka the lost missions, which are must watch stories for the Yoda-Qui Gon arc

Hands out to his side in a "wtf???" posture. Never brought his sword up to defend himself.

He looks exactly like you would look if somebody up and did that shite in front of you.

Either Darth Maul was blown away by the force jump, or he got mentally retarded suddenly. So he is either weak in the force, or stupid.

It was essentially confirmed last year that Anakin would have never fallen to the dark side had Qui Gon lived. He was the most rogue of the Jedi but he was also the only one truly listening to the will of the Force.

He was perhaps the only Jedi wiser than Yoda because he knew Anakin had to control his emotions, not repress them like the Jedi wanted and not use them for power the way the Sith wanted. Yoda was blinded by arrogance just like the rest of the Jedi but Qui Gon wasn’t that way. It’s entirely plausible Qui Gon sniffs out Palpatine for who he truly is since he without a doubt would still want Anakin but he would have never sought out counsel with Palpatine with Qui Gon in his corner and he would have sensed the darkness lurking beneath Palpatine’s motives to get emergency powers from the senate. Qui Gon might not have been the most powerful with a lightsaber like Yoda, Palpatine and Anakin, but he was without a doubt the wisest and possibly the best version of what Jedi should be and was probably extremely powerful with the Force. We just never got to see him use it because Lucas is an idiot.


Don’t forget, he was the one who taught Yoda and Obi Wan how to become Force Ghosts, which is essentially immortality.
