Disney acquired Star Wars in 2012 and she became President of Lucasfilm. Regardless of how you feel about the sequels there’s no denying that Disney made the decision to stop releasing films(their initial plan was a movie a year).

So, why didn’t they change leadership? Does she have something on someone?

We've been asking this question for more than 5 years. I wish she was gone, but she's still here. Why? The company doesn't care?

Was Disney’s acquisition about making good Star Wars content, or was it about keeping other people from making good Star Wars content?

It doesn’t make sense. Why would they not try and make as much money as possible?

She was hired back when having a vagina mattered when wanting to hire a woman.

I heard some anti-KK vlogger explain/admit what an elite producer she is, in that she can facilitate the production of a movie whether it's pooling finances, access to locations, redtape hurdling, organizing smooth communication bewteen departments, etc..everything it takes for a blockbuster movie to be made seamlessly. Basically, an elite gopher & organizer.

The problem has been, she's proved she should have absolutely no say so in storytelling/creative control. A president should have story green-lighting & veto power, but she can't handle that w/o agenda. While she has valuable production skills, she needs to be demoted, or at least, have her powers separated from creative.

Well, this is dumb. Disney's purchase of star wars isn't like Warren beatty putting on a dick Tracy outfit every 10 years to maintain the rights. Disney has the rights, straight up. They've made a frick ton of money off of them, regardless of how much more money you think they could have made.

This star wars drop seems to have everything

We’ll all be pissed off, but there’s enough to trick us into watching more

Take the good with the bad. You’ll be happier

Kathleen Kennedy is a giant in Hollywood. As a producer she has been nominated for multiple Oscars and has overseen the production of some of the highest grossing films of all-time. As a protege of Steven Spielberg's, she's damn near untouchable. The only way she leaves Lucasfilm is if she resigns.

Yep. She only leaves when she feels she's done.

The new Rey trilogy is all the proof anyone needs to see that she's not going anywhere soon. KK is tripling and quadrupling down on destroying Lucas's Star Wars.

Bingo. They see one of the most beloved cinematic properties in history as another platform to spout their ESG bile.

I never said she didn't. I'm simply telling you why she still has a job.
