Actually incorrect hence why Alicent was invited into the small council. Surprised no one on the council her being there. That had to be the biggest giveaway the moment the camera showed her.
Yeah I don’t know why I said that. Otto probably knew, but I’m not sure Alicent knew what was about to happen.

That superstition is also dumb. Think about it. The king would get instant feedback if he knew every bad decision the throne cuts him. Banish your brother, throne cuts you. On second thought, you're not only not banished you're my new Hand. I know the lore and legends sound really cool, and they are, but they are not practical.
Practical? Lol, this is a universe with dragons, shape shifters, resurrection and the walking dead.

Two things I noticed watching again 1. The king wanted to go to dragon stone himself but Otto stopped him. 2. Otto had his men stand down and were about to go back to KL empty handed. Also, Daemon isn’t witty enough to win conversations. He’s really dumb.
He does seem pretty dumb. I do like the character though. You don’t have to always be cunning and smart to win. Sometimes being a hammer around a bunch of nails is enough

I just responded to someone trying to call me out about it.
You’re the one that brought it up again.

But I’ll bring it up after every episode
I don’t doubt that.

iwyLSUiwy I really liked last nights episode. Anybody still trying to say that the king is a POS is really missing the point of his character.
This was directed at me, and specifically about the discussion the two of us had about the King not telling his wife what was happening.

Episode 2 of “House of the Dragon” drew in 10.2 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max following its Sunday airing, according to Warner Bros. Discovery.
This marks a 2% increase from the premiere episode, which was viewed by nearly 10 million people, according to WBD’s initial count the day after it aired. The premiere, titled “Heirs of the Dragon,” was HBO’s biggest premiere of all time, more than doubling the viewership of its predecessor, “Game of Thrones,” which was watched by 4.2 million people when it premiered in 2011.
On Friday, the show got an early renewal for Season 2, at which point HBO said that viewership of the premiere had risen to 20 million. Now, the network says that number is approaching 25 million.

Dude looks gnarly AF.
I’m curious as to how they portray that coming conflict. It’ll add some more layers to things for sure.

But someone in this thread said the lack of interest in this show was obvious because this thread was only 5 pages

If the loudest people on this site actually reflected the general public, Marvel, Star Wars, LOTR, and GOT would all be circling the drain with viewership.
I actually don't understand what some people get out of spending 12 hours a day on this website being utterly mad and miserable. Being obsessed with TV/Film and yet spending all your energy on complaining about the shite you hate or hope fails.

This is literally a definition of woke liberal progs and how they live in the real world and turn tv shows and movies into their own political propaganda and tell everyone to sit down and shut up.

I think the king stays out of the mix and Daemon and Corlys handle it. It delays a Daemon vs Viserys conflict and probably lets Viserys ruin himself while Daemon gains more popularity by defeating the bad guy. That's just a random spur of the moment guess but I feel like there really isnt going to be a Daemon vs Viserys showdown. Rhaenyra vs Daemon makes for a more interesting story imo.

So in your mind, a husband doesn’t have a second to explain to his wife she is gonna die but they can possibly save the baby before she is ripped open. No time for that. Nope, just get to it. She knows what she signed up for.
A King doesn't really have time for some monumental heart felt speech when his heir is teetering on the brink. They already laid out the difficulties the Queen had with prior births/pregnancies. This was the King's last chance at a male heir.
You can't really relate what a Targ King would do vs. generic Husband & Wife in actual real life.

But a cupbearer can halt a small council meeting when the King is making an important announcement to ask her buddy why she is there?
Yes... Rhaenyra was always present as cup bearer. She had an actual role at every meeting even if it is essentially an inconsequential to the actual proceedings. This is how Kings groomed their heirs. Same 5 people were always there as members of small council. They didnt have extras dropping in here and there. Small council is same individuals every single time. Not only would Rhaenyra have questioned it but also the other members besides Otto Hightower and the King. Seriously that would have been a big What the Actual Frick is she doing in here moment.

If the King had grayscale, he would’ve succumbed to it by now.
He’s just being repeatedly maimed by the Iron Throne and I’m sure it’s not the most sanitary thing ever.

"Greyscale kills slowly, often taking many years to progress to a terminal state. Long before that, in the mid-to-late stages of the disease, the infection will spread to cover all of the victim's skin from head to toe, leaving them in agony. An infected person can survive like this for years, living in misery as one of the Stone Men."

King has the best maesters in the realm.
If it was greyscale, one of them would say “dude, you have greyscale.” They wouldn’t say “let’s try maggots.”

I would think so but I think "lets try maggots" was what they were working with.
Maybe it's not rapid yet which is why it hasn't been diagnosed.
I found it telling when they said the flesh is dead and not growing back. Maybe some plague is being transmitted?

I'm not sure that's what's up with the Crabfeeder, but it's definitely falling in the DO NOT TOUCH warning zone.
