Can someone explain to me how the CGI quality in the dragons went from excellent in GOT, to XBOX 360 level of quality now?

In all seriousness, did you watch it broadcast or through HBOMax 4K? There was a pretty big difference.
Also, even though the show is in the GoT universe I don’t imagine it got the same budget of the last couple of seasons when we saw the dragons a lot. And there will be a lot more dragon action in this from start to finish than GoT.

I don't think the dragons looked bad? LG C1 on HBO Max. The set design looked really good to me. Dragons looked pretty similar to old GoT to me but I wasn't watching on nearly the same setup.

I imagine one of the things that led to the 1/2 season debacles from the previous franchise was the cost of production.
I didn't think the dragons or the sets were offensively poor quality. I'm willing to look passed it if that means we get the full "Song of Ice and Fire" storyline rather than the Spam in a can approach of seasons 7 & 8...

a quick googlization reveals that corlys is an ethnic valeryian (his family is from valeryia) but not related in any way to the targs other than that. They live on an island (driftmark) near dragonstone and are sailors similar to the iron islanders

I love how people were concerned with this being woke because the story centers around a female being the heir to the throne. That’s exactly what causes the Dance of Dragons, it’s not like HBO took it upon themselves to change the content.
I was skeptical about the show but I really enjoyed the first episode, I was a HODOR during Game of Thrones, I vowed to never be a HODOR again.

Princess Rhaenrya has 2 different actresses. The one on the front page is the older version of her.
The one you posted photos of is the younger one which is hotter, and the one we saw in the show.
