Bad feeling this show is about to fall off a cliff. We’re losing Milly Alcock who’s done a great job as Rheanyra, like her or not, we’re getting Olivia Cooke as the adult Alicent which means she’ll be the dominant character going forward and the woke stuff is just beginning.

GQ’s #1 agenda is to emasculate black men.

Don’t you have a clock to punch, lilly white?
Patchouli shelf won’t restock itself in your little white enclave.

Guess they don't know that the gay guy who was killed Sunday night was also killed in the book by the same person.

It’s never enough for some people, it’s a great show, yet people still feel the need to nitpick it to death. Enjoy it and stop bitching about every little thing that upsets you, or do the world a favor and don’t watch it.

Because homosexuality isn’t exactly desirable to normal people and kids, so we need to treat them as positively as we can in movies and pop culture to help groom another generation of homosexuals?

This is why we have threads that go 50 pages with nothing but arguing about representation in movies/tv It's never enough for these people
The HoD threads here have been fine, with minimal back and forth on that kind of stuff. Because people actually watching the show are just enjoying the show.

True but it happens in combat during a tournament to celebrate the wedding. It's unbecoming of a knight to just snap and attack another knight who is unarmed and unsuspecting and it doesn't really fit their characters.
Not sure why they departed from the source material here. My guess is they were trying to score shock points and stimulate buzz by staging another brutal wedding scene and head smashing.

Wait, when did GQ go gay??
It's an entire magazine dedicated to men's fashion.
But it was “manly” fashion, wasn’t it? I don’t recall it being an openly gay magazine until more recently.
Same thing with Mens Health. Wasn’t an outwardly gay magazine until recently.

Yeah, the AV review whined about the same thing

Gay, straight or indifferent, they kill off everyone in hideous ways.
Are they complaining about Daemon cutting the cock off the rapist and throwing it on the table? Hell the worst death may have been, even though we really don't see it, was Ramsey eaten by his own dogs.
Apparently the writer has never watched the series.

why don't these people ever read the source material? Princess and the Queen is a very short story. not even a story but account written down by a maester. Laenor Velaryon is full blown fairy. his wife is banging a kingsguard and has kids with him, spoiler alert they don't look like him and have brown hair.
the violent event that talked about here does happen in the story.

Yup, definitely something me and my friends debate regularly lol.

it's troubling that gay characters are still relegated to devices demonstrative of darkness.
Tell me about it. I remember sitting down with my children to watch Game of Thrones every Sunday (I want them to be cultured), and it was particularly difficult to get through the usual tropes of children being burned alive, getting thrown out of windows, raped by pedophiles, committing suicide, and smashed by zombie giants.
Children are always getting the short end of the stick in these shows.

I don't see 'endless melts.' I see the same reaction whenever a studio proclaims that they'll do woke shite, because it usually precedes a giant pile of crap.
Obviously, here, the actors decided to spin it to placate the woke journalists. Fortunately, this show is headed by GRRM himself, who unlike the hacks writing RoP, actually knows how to craft characters and tell a story.

Almost like someone was saying that very thing in that thread and you, along with the other chuds, decided to melt and pound your fists anyways

‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel Will Explore ‘Internalized Misogyny’ and ‘Patriarchy’
ME
So exactly as the first series did(until everything about the series and characterizations went to shite in the later seasons)....

The show was put together by Martin himself, he literally picked the showrunner and has been incredibly hands on in every part of the development, including writing. Much more so than GoT.
Personally I could give a shite if the triggered brigade here watches it, I just find the reactions amusing considering how incredibly overt the themes of misogyny and patriarchy were in the OG.
