im looking forward to Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark hitting theatres this weekend, but I feel it would've been possibly more better suited for a short mini series on either Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon

another that could possibly work as an anthology or mini series! Thirteen Ghosts! possibly a short mini series featuring one unlucky soul encountering one of the thirteen spirits each week then the finale featuring all thirteen ghouls wreaking havoc

I'd watch a Hellraiser series that focused on different people getting the box and having run ins with Pinhead and the Cenobites. Would need Doug Bradley and a hard R rating though.

I never imagined The Exorcist would work as a series but the first season was great.

It Follows. Each episode could follow a different person getting the haunted STD and trying to survive

Not so much a series, but a two season limited run...but animated.

The Exorcist (FOX series) didn't work.

I think Friday the 13th can absolutely work.

Needful things

Have each season be about the conflict the shopkeeper caused leading up to a final confrontation with him.

There was a Friday the 13th series back in the early 90s but it was more like Tales From the Crypt.

I'd watch a The Cabin in the Woods series from the POV of the organization that sets up the sacrifices. Every season gets a new scenario/location and new monsters.

The original Alien?

Although, I think like the movie series would melt into less horror and more sci fi action.

Resident Evil.

A procedural investigation show with agents investigating Umbrella and the eventual outbreak in a small city. It may not be good or original but I think it could work.

These are mostly imo what would be a mini series or 1 season 10 episode types of stories to spend more time with overall development. Mainly cause I wanted more.

Night of the Living Dead:

could be a miniseries (to compliment the original film), each episode a different cast and POV from that night. Easy to do that was a mass event taking place. Have some of the events happening that Ben, Cooper and Tom talked about. With the diner etc. We have Walking dead though, and was good early on..but it was never truly scary and our protagonist was the luckiest guy ever. It's an extinction event, should be treated as one for once.

Silence of the lambs:

May have been an amazing 10 episode season had they transferred the same intensity and overall mood of the film. I personally would have liked to have seen more about buffalo Bill's character. Ted Levine was phenomenal in that role. Also with Clarice, finding out more of her life and POV. More time with Lecter. Movie was fine as is, just think it could have also built more and been extra amazing if done right.

Seven:

Again, spending more time to develop a 1 off type of series in the form of true detective. Just building more character development. Delving into the mind and works of john doe. Also with the other characters and giving us time to develop more care for Paltrow.

Highlander:

Had some horror elements with the kurgan's portrayal. I know a tv series has been made before, but I believe a TV MA series reboot would be phenomenal. It has potential to take you anywhere in the world at anytime with dynamic conflicts with unique characters, brutality and a range of emotion. No Macleod..just a fresh new world. Give it a budget, with legit cinematography, writing, acting and believable choreography and I'm more than sold.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Maximum overdrive:

(TV MA starring Chris pratt and Giancarlo Esposito to "reprise his role")

But really instead be the shady a-hole owner of a truck stop/casino. Supporting role.

I think World War Z would be infinitely better as a TV series. The book was a series of loosely interlocking stories about the zombie takeover.

A good series would do the same and there are a ton of good short stories in the book.

Wasn't there a Scream show on MTV? I'm sure it sucked but I could see that being good on another network.

You know the show hannibal had the potential to be truly great but the casting was just awful with the will graham character. That really threw things off.

Also alot of the acting with some of the characters was breathy and slow. Mads Milken was perfect casting of course and Lawrence fishburne was good.

The show was highly stylized though and i did like that part of it. Also they did a good job of keeping the hannibal character (much like the first movie) as unsympathetic.

I'd like to see this attempted again in some form or fashion.
