Bump...
Holy Crap!!!
Did he just call Carrie with the Head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards cell phone? I swear if Brody makes it out the season finale or even that room. Someone needs to kill Brody, Carrie and this show!

I thought it was a good episode. People nitpick this show WAY to much.

The show is ridiculous, that's nothing new.
Still an entertaining episode though. There's no way he gets outta that building alive, though.

It's really about time for the Brody character to die. And how the hell is Carrie still employed by the CIA? Good episode though.

We nitpick because the first 2 seasons were solid and the storyline is getting ridiculous. Some of us think the show has lost its way in season 3.

I thought this was one of the better episodes this season.
ETA: They should have killed Brody off in Season 2

This season has been better than season 2. Both obviously far worse than the first season.

Agreed people nitpick this show a lot.
The 1st season was awesome, about the best I've seen. This show is still better than anything currently on CBS, NBC, ABC or FOX.
I see Brody going down and Quinn picking up next season. I think people in general like the Quinn character.

So let's see. The top guy in Iranian security won't even let Brody get close to him initially. Only nods at a distance before being whisked away. Then Nazir's widow give him a call and, voila, he and Body are left alone in his office and Brody is able to whack him with an ashtray, smother him with a pillow and then use his cell phone to call Carrie and say "I just killed this mofo. How about a lift?".
It could happen.
ETA: Of course, in Season 1 (maybe 2) he was left in the office of Director of the CIA long enough to crack open his safe. So, anything goes, I guess.

I just believe we give govenments to much credit when it come to logical situations. Brody was cleared by someone the Iranian dude trusted and it counted since she knew Brody before. He got him in when we talked about Javiadi.
The phone call is stupid but I'll be suprised if he or she doesn't die in the next episode.

Definitely. It's kind of funny to me how people decide they are experts on certain topics in a TV show and then proceed to analyze every choice in Homeland and make a point to it being unrealistic. Every CIA/terrorist show is going to have moments of unrealism. They have to or the show wouldn't exist. Look at 24.
Everyone complained about Brody's family still being around and now that it seems they aren't something else has to be complained about.
Last night's episode (while it had its moments of ridiculousness) was incredible writing and a great episode. This season has been very good and so much better than season 2. Now, if Brody makes it out of Iran alive and comes back to the US some kind of hero, then I will jump ship.

That is because the widow gave him the secondary vote of confidence he was seeking on Brody seeking asylum. C'mon, man. There has been so much unbelievable activity this season I just let it pass. At least the pace/content improved immensely after ep 4 or so of this season. And the chief just sat there, if not leaned in, after Brody was describing his CIA involvement, etc, to take the chief out. Aight, bash that skull and apply the pillow technique pronto.

I thought it was a good episode but are the totally abandoning the "who moved the bomb at Langley" story line? Brodie tells him he moved the bomb when looking for asylum and the believe him yet Javadi said his people all knew it wasn't Brody but someone we all thought was dead.
The next episode seems to be focused on the end of Brody. Are they carrying over the big reveal regarding the person who moved the bomb to next season or abandoning it?

I dunno, and what of pregnant Carrie and the never mentioned father although weak protestations were made that it was not Brody, I'm not buying it. Someone needs to take out the incoming CIA head, he is weak sauce pretending to be the man.

Well said all around. I personally thought the episode was one of the best of the entire series. It was thrilling throughout and ended on such an intense cliffhanger. Are people really saying they didn't like the episode bc the leader decided to meet with Brody?? Give me a break.

I think the bomb mover will end up killing Brody and next season will involve Carrie trying to get revenge on him.

This show's season finale's always seem to go in a direction I don't expect. They will do something unexpected and set up season 4
