All caught up, really good episode. Although, I really wish they would have had more episodes in Tehran instead of all the bullshite with the family. That took up a lot of completely unnecessary time that we could have had more of this mission.
No idea where they're gonna take this. Brody was taking his sweet arse time in there after he killed that guy though. I thought for sure he was gonna be out the window.

Brody's mission is to find redemption in the eyes of his daughter (his words).

Guys help me out with something. Don't the people in Iran know Brody wasn't involved in the bombing?
He keeps telling them he is and he's a hero there

Was kind of wondering this, I don't think we've found out who actually put the bomb in place

Did he just call Carrie with the Head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards cell phone? I swear if Brody makes it out the season finale or even that room. Someone needs to kill Brody, Carrie and this show!
So Carrie gets a new cell phone shipped to her in Tehran. Brody has no contact with her in Tehran. She calls Brody on a cell given to him which he throws in bushes after call. But in the office after he killed Akbari, Brody magically knew her new number?

Last night's episode (while it had its moments of ridiculousness) was incredible writing and a great episode. This season has been very good and so much better than season 2. Now, if Brody makes it out of Iran alive and comes back to the US some kind of hero, then I will jump ship.
Season 2 > Season 3
Brody is going to die in the next episode and Carrie will reveal to his daughter that he was actually a hero. Ultimately he will end up being redeemed in the eyes of his child. I'm about 90% sure this is going to happen.

Yea, the entire phone sequence has a few flaws that we are suppose to gloss over.

The show is so full of unbelievable plot holes i dont know where to begin.
But the last few episodes have still been damn entertaining.

it does get unrealistic - but its tv. fwiw the show producers/cast had met with some cia figureheads (over the summer) and they informed them things like personal cell phones aren't allowed in cia headquarters.
I guess some unrealistic things have to occur or it would be to boring and loose viewers.

I'm not defending the show overall, but I think in this instance he called her personal cell. The phone that was shipped to her was probably some kind of magic CIA phone that was untraceable that she could talk to Saul in privacy.

Of all the things to nitpick this one has the most merit IMO.
I just can't see how the head of the Iranian republic (or whatever it is) would not know who exactly was in charge of the bombing.
Even if you try and justify it by saying that Nazir didn't work directly with the Iranian people, we just saw where the main Iranian dude trusts Nazir's wife above everything... surely one of them would know who is in charge of the whole shindig?
The cell phone is certainly a stretch but I can let that go.

bingo!
i was sitting in bed last night and a bulb went off and i turned to my wife and said that. how the F does the second in charge know everything and tell Carrie and Saul that brody had nothing to do with it but the head guy believes Brody when he says he did it and is there for immunity?
i dont get it

People thinking way too much into this show from the few comments I've read, lol. We are in for some sh** with the finale! Should be a really good one. Should have plenty of action as well. I liked how this last episode ended.

Ditto.
This is the first episode this season that I actually felt my heart pumping, when Brody was walking towards the General in the street.

Maybe the 2nd in command is running his own ops? The head guy didn't know he had funneled millions either. He has obviously had hopes of taking over the head position for quite a while. I'm sure he has many secrets.

Same here. This season has been rather slow compared to the first two for me. Still my favorite show out, but far less drama this season.
