Goodell might shut it down like he did playmakers

It was okay. I think James was an odd casting choice for CSP. Yenni stadium standing in for a north Texas championship high school stadium was laughable.
Now I know what they were filming there that night though.

My desire to see the movie would hinge on their freedom to cast Goodell as an unlikable piece of shite.

the scene with Payton as a janitor is worth it,,, let it play out

It’s like they took highlights from every iconic kid sports team movie and gave them to Adam Sandler to see what he could come up with.

Sean Payton is short and kind of fat too. Seemed like an ok casting choice.
They weren't high school kids. It was like a middle school league. Kids were supposed to be 12 or somewhere around there.
I noticed him wearing Saints stuff all the time too. It was weird. You'd think he have more going on in his life too. I know it has elements of a true story. But they could have fleshed out a lot more. It has some good random moments though. Wasn't a horrible movie. But I'll never watch it again..

pretty bad movie in all. maybe a few funny lines. but, not something i would watch again.
I'd rather Friday night lights type movies. Kevin James is horrible as Payton.
And of course had to drag his friend Rob Schneider along for the ride.
What's the chances Payton's ex wife would go from Sean Payton to someone like Schneider's character?

Finally watched. I enjoyed it for what it was. Had some lol moments. Mostly the black coach of the rival team.

We all knew this day would come, but was Frankie Muniz not available?
Unfortunately Muniz has severe memory problems but yeah in terms of looks, he would been perfect as Payton.

Playmakers was trash.
And Goodell wouldn’t become commissioner until 3 years after Playmakers was cancelled.

I hate Kevin James. The trailer for this movie looked like complete dog shite. Looks like I didn’t miss much…

He clarified that recently as something that was blown way out of proportion on a Steve-O podcast. It was more a combination of a couple things. The events from his childhood acting were just so long ago that he naturally forgets details. He was also so busy at the time literally going from events to appearances that there's so much that get's lost.
I've seen lots of the reunion shows or interviews with people (like the Friends cast or Saved by the Bell) where they don't remember much about the shows they were on. He did have concussions from racing but it wasn't as bad as the myths became that he has no memory.

Speaking of Goldberg, just saw something yesterday that Shaun Weiss is 2 years sober and is looking like a real person again.
Looking at pics from when he was addicted to meth, it's almost impossible to believe he was the same person as the kid from Mighty Ducks and Heavyweights.

I lost my shite with the scene with the homemade power bar consequences.

What? He was great in King Of Queens playing off Jerry Stiller. And yes he started as a stand up. He's not the best actor, but he doesn't need to be. Kind of like Jerry Seinfeld.
