It was obvious from the beginning that the show was about him finding Robin. Even ending the show with a nod to the pilot. The show was always about Ted's pursuit of Robin. That was the one constant of the show.

They must have filmed that scene with the kids a long time ago though.

I can't believe that the ending surprised anyone. That was what the whole series was pointing to.

The Fonz called, he said LoL. Made more sense for Barney to do it for the baby girl than it ever did for Robin. That was the better natural ending to the Barney character. Still think it should of been the stripper than ruining Robin, glad she came back after the wedding.

I actually liked it. Or at least appreciated it. Everyone always sad how it didn't make sense that this is the story he would tell if he was really telling them how he met their mother

Except the mother dying. That wasn't hinted at until this season.
