Haven't had a chance to see it yet, but I'm fascinated by the fact that a small change could make it a completely different movie.

Saw it last night. It really delivered. Going in with as little information about the plot as possible is essential. Please reward A24 for continuing to put out creative films by seeing this one in the theater.

An Oscar worthy performance from Hugh Grant.

Loved it. Grant killed it. Great psychological thriller.

I found it on a streaming movie site. Only watched the first half tonight but so fat it's extreeeeeemely slow. Hoping it picks up in the second half.

It builds on the tension from the opening act. And it delivers.

Sorry but I thought it sucked. I was bored to death with all of that religious hullabaloo. One of the worst films in recent memory that I've seen.

Good acting by Grant makes this 3.5 stars.

Not a good movie. Just watch the nude scenes on a porn site and skip the film.

Wow, Grant stole the show in this.

Very thought provoking dialogue about Religion throughout.

*CAUTION* If you’re a very faith based person, be prepared for Grant to poke holes in your beliefs.

I'm really shocked someone compared these two movies. They could not be any more different in terms of writing, acting, cinematography, etc. Hugh Grant is no Gregory Peck.

Heretic missed the mark badly. I was out after about the 20th religious monologue. Boring, pointless, confusing, pseudo-intellectual, not scary at all.

I was really excited to see this movie & not even halfway through I hated it & wanted it to end.

Edit: I feel like people overrate A24 movies because they are A24 movies. They can release clunkers just like any other studio. Ever seen Tusk?

I actually liked it halfway thru. Because I thought it was building to something great. Total letdown. Really liked both actresses though.

Yeah the first Act was good when you thought it was leading somewhere then when it dragged on & led to more Atheism+ debate, you had to give up on it as a horror movie.

The best thing about this movie is the trailer. Saying Hugh Grant delivered some great performance, is insulting.

80% of A24 movies start great, then fall ridiculously flat.

It's like "I've I've got a great Idea for a movie, I just don't have the ending figured out yet"

With that said, most of the millennials who have been subjected to all of these horrible movies over the past 10 years or so will love it.
