Finished Mare of Easttown, and have seen Chernobyl. Thinking about starting Watchmen?

Does anyone have other recs for Mini Series? HBO or not.

Watchmen was a really inventive continuation of the original graphic novel. It helps a lot if you read the novel before watching and don’t get caught up in the “they made the main character a black woman and the Tulsa massacre was featured and Robert Redford is President so this must all be liberal propaganda” trap that way too many fell for. It’s a pretty faithful attempt at continuing Alan Moore’s story and commentary (nevermind that it actually serves as a demonstration that heavily left leaning government agendas result in abject failures).

Now whether you agree with Moore’s point of view is certainly something to consider, too. If you dislike the graphic novel, you won’t like the show.

If we are including documentaries...yea Mcmillions is great. I just finished QAnon Into the Storm and that was fascinating.

Watchmen, which led me to the Leftovers.

Leftovers was a bit of a chore for the first 5 or 6 eps, but s2 and s3 were really great.

Sharp Objects seems a bit slept on. i thought it was fantastic.

Generation Kill (fantastic miniseries about Force Recon Marines in the first Gulf War, similar concept as Jarhead but waaay less dark)

The Night Of (crime drama, similar tone to True Detective)

McMillions (documentary series about the FBI investigation McDonald’s Monopoly scam)

The Brink

Not a miniseries. But they only made one season. It's still hilarious. Tim Robbins is great.
