I really like a lot of the #2 movies in a franchise. I couldn't quite get to 20 that I like enough to include.

The Dark Knight (2008)
X2: X-Men United (2003)
Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Batman (1989)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Superman II (1980)
The Avengers (2012)
Iron Man (2008)
Superman (1978)
Batman Begins (2005)
Batman Returns (1992)
The Wolverine (2013)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Ant-Man (2015)
Spider-Man (2002)
Daredevil (2003)
Captain America: The First Avengers (2011)
X-Men: Days of Future Past

I finally got around to watching Iron Man 3 today. I can safely say that's one film that will never make my top 10. Holy crap that movie sucked

Would be completely anticlimactic. TDK wins and it won't be close.

Which is a shame since it is not even the best Nolan Batman movie

Agreed. And if we did a "comic book movie" bracket it should, theoretically, be way low. It's not really effective as a "comic book" movie. They may not be better films, but 300, SIn City, Spider-Man 2 are all superior as comic book movies.

I'll leave that discussion for you. As far as movies based on comic book characters at least, Batman Begins, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Superman : The movie would be my top3.

Well, if do "best comic book movies", it opens the doors for things like American Splendor, Ghost World, V for Vendetta, History of Violence, etc. Not all comics are super heroes.

That's a good point, though i suspect most people like me think of Superheroes when we say "comic book" movies. I had no idea stuff like 300 was a comic book before the movie.

spiderman 2 is one of my favorite damn movies period. solid all around.

i'm glad this is actually getting discussion. i thought i'd be laughed out of here.

i do think there's some differentiation between your super hero comic movies and graphic novel movies (with watchmen being the weird one.)

Road to Perdition, Wanted, VfV, 300, Sin City, AHoV, etc. are all kind of no man's land when it comes to categorizing them as comic book movies/graphic novel movies. Bone would fall into this category if they ever made it.

when i started this, i meant spiderman/xmen/avengers/batman/etc.

Best of the modern ones:

10. Thor 2: The Dark World
9. Man of Steel
8. The Avengers
7. Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier
6. X-Men: First Class
5. X-Men: Days of Future Past
4. Iron Man
3. The Dark Knight Rises
2. Watchmen
1. The Dark Knight

Have not seen: Latest Spiderman, Avengers 2, Deadpool, Ant Man, The Punisher, Elecktra, Ghostrider, Kickass!, Guardians of the Galaxy, Steel, Spawn, and Blade

Of the older ones, I really like Batman Forever and the first Ninja Turtles Movie.

So underrated. But I agree.

Hellboy, 30 Days of Night, Scott Pilgrim, etc.

Humm. I didn't think about it, but these are comic book movies. Probably more so than some of the ones already listed in this thread.

Not a bad idea...

Mine worst would be:
Cat woman
Daredevil
Iron man 3
And a particular x men movie I omitted in a previous post that I refuse to mention.

I do too and I have BB as my #1 all time comic book movie.
