Because it is. You can’t pull a random episode out of the first three seasons and tell me it is better than any of these.

Not even on the radar for stupid choices in the last episode.

Why can't anyone on this website just admit they're wrong?

This episode or the last, when Tyrion and Bran were sitting alone talking about life..would have been the perfect time for the 3 eyed raven to tell Tyrion the actual truth about the woman he loved that he saw with other men. Wish it would get brought up.

What his father did to him through that.

While we are on the subject of early seasons... Ros, the whore from Winterfell who came down with the main characters to King’s Landing.

This was an element the writers added which wasn’t in the books and kept shoe-horning into about three seasons of episodes until Joffrey killed her with a crossbow.

wtf don’t you dare talk bad about Ros

So.... which side are you arguing for again? The new stuff is dumb, but the old episodes are not better?

But for real now, the game isn't dumb because they are playing a game while celebrating. The game was great while it was just a game. It became dumb when Tyrion brought up Brienne's virginity. He hasn't been that cruel since the beginning of the series. It felt like the writers couldn't come up with a better way to initiate the Jamie/Brienne love scene.

Using a game that has been used before (more than once) isn't dumb at all. We know the game. Changing some characterization to spur a plot is dumb, but the writers have been doing similar shenanigans since the beginning.

My guess is that once the series is over people will rewatch the earlier seasons, dissecting them as they are currently doing with the final season. The necessary, uber-condensed timeline of the recent seasons makes certain events seem dumber than they are, just as the deliberate pacing of earlier seasons masked some dumb shite.

Also how are the bolts Euron shot light enough to fly hundreds of feet in the air but heavy enough to be a cannonball?

Well...if I recall, the actress felt like she had more to offer the roll other than her tits. Wanted her character to be more of a brain with a larger part to play rather than just wonderful eye candy...so, they took care of that problem.

Jaime didn't rape Tysha. Tywin made him lie that she was a whore, but he wasn't involved with the gang rape, unlike Tyrion.

The problem became that she got screen time over characters who were more integral to the story, to the point where I feel she became a detriment.

When you have thousands of pages of writing to pull from and only about 10 hours of screen time per season to hand out, any new character introduced and getting significant screen time better be worth it.

It definitely lasted longer than the one from this past episode and was a key bit of background on Tyrion and was a big scene with him bronn and shae

No I think the dumbest part was Dany not seeing the fricking fleet of large wooden ships while shes a thousand feet in the air in range. And that the ships can snipe a dragon 4-4 from that distance but miss when it's flying straight towards them.

And then in the post-episode with the writers. "Dany just kind of forgot about the Iron Fleet.." How the hell do you just kind of forget about the strongest navy in the islands. I'm sick of characters doing confoundingly stupid things just to move the plot along.

No, by far the dumbest thing about Sunday was that Dany didn’t just circle around Euron’s ships and set them ablaze.

I think the dumbest thing is that Cersei didn't take the opportunity to capture Tyrion and eliminate Dany, Varys, Grey Worm, and the rest of the unsullied that are left (how are there any left) when they were right in front of her and all of her forces. Plus lure the last dragon in range of ballistae.

I guess both sides are pretty dumb.

Especially with Tyrion. She paid Bronn a lot of gold to kill him. Now he’s right front of her archers and she doesn’t kill the person she’s hated more than anyone else?
