Guy Ritchie series “The Gentlemen” has been renewed for a second season.
The show, which stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario as partners in crime, will return for eight episodes, with James and Scodelario set to reprise their roles as aristocrat Eddie Horniman and drug empire heiress Susie Glass, respectively. Ritchie will also return as director and writer, alongside co-writer Matthew Read.
Further cast will be announced in due course and filming will commence next year.
The first season followed Eddie’s exploits after he inherits his father’s country estate – and discovers Glass and her incarcerated father have been running a cannabis empire on it. Initially, he plans to extricate his family from the gangsters’ clutches but, as events unfold, Eddie realizes he not only has a taste for criminality but he’s pretty good at it too.

I liked the movie but am hesitant about starting ANY series because they tend to draaaaag out he story line for the sake of filling a number of episodes and seasons. I guess I don't have that long of an attention span, I'll commit to a movie but rarely a series.

It's only 8 episodes. If you enjoyed the movie, you should give this a shot. It's entertaining.

Agreed. I enjoyed the first season (haven't seen the movie) and was perfectly fine with how things ended. Of course I will watch it when it comes out, but don't linger too long and ruin it by turning it into 5 seasons when 1-3 would do.

Great news. I really enjoyed the 1st season and they made a seemingly average looking British lady extremely hot in a few episodes.

Looks awesome. And for those that don't know co-star Vinnie Jones had quite the soccer reputation in the UK, mostly as an enforcer. Great documentary on him released on Netflix a few months ago--worth a watch.

Started season 1 last night because of this thread.

Agreed. But he's 41 and if they're talking about going younger that pretty much pushes him out unfortunately.
I'm still sad they wrote him out of Persuasion (PBS). I'd love to see him in another period piece again. I love Jack Lowden but Theo James would've made the perfect Mr. Darcy in the Pride and Prejudice show coming out on Netflix.
