Greg Daniels is meeting with writers to come up with ideas for a new ‘The Office’ series

Greg Daniels, who adapted NBC‘s The Office for American audiences based on the hit BBC series of the same name from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, is setting up a development room with his trusted writers, sources tell Deadline. It is set to begin work on Tuesday to explore ideas for a follow-up series.
The potential new series, which is not a reboot, would likely be set in a new office with new characters but live within the same world as the Steve Carell-led mockumentary series which follows employees at the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.

Prediction- This will be terrible because you can’t make fun of anyone anymore & the cast will be like walking into the U.N. The original Office could never happen today. It wouldn’t even be able the be Cast like that today. And it wasn’t even 20 years ago.

Just let this shite go. End the "marvel-izing" of entertainment.
There's also no way a new one retains any of the charm, wit, or comedy of the original. Even the original wouldn't be possible in the Hollywood of today.

South Park is grandfathered in. I mean, have you paid attention to any casting of any shows and movies these days?? We can’t even have accurate casting of actual historical figures anymore.
I’d give the show a chance though. Office is GOAT.
