I'll go with The Abyss. Seriously took an unexpected turn.

Close second- There Will Be Blood.

I loved the end of There Will Be Blood - god forbid a director goes a direction I would have never expected

It always sucks when the bad guys win.

Ok, it wasn't a great movie - it was barely a good movie - but the ending of Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes is easily the worst ending ever - he even admitted it didn't make sense on purpose because it would be a way of getting buzz to get more people to go (wtf?)

I thought the explosion ending in Hot Fuzz was tarded and completely pointless. It really left a bad taste in my mouth on initial viewing. Now I just tune out the ending when watching the movie.

Also, Knowing. Although it wasn’t really that great

Exactly. That whole interaction was amazing and perfect for the film. And then ending it with “I’m finished” like he just finished his dessert or something was awesome.

I appreciate the ending to The Village a lot more now, especially as our current society has many parallels to their tiny one.

Last American Virgin.

Dude gets screwed over by a girl and rides off crying as the credits roll.

It was the most believable though.

Completely agree with it having a bad ending, but I completely disagree with it being a great movie. Actually is the exact opposite.

I think the bookshelf scenes in interstellar was pretty weak. I love the rest of the film.
