Lol take it easy.

I never said you posted spoilers, I said you read them...

And sorry I upset you and you wont be apologizing anymore? Lol. Isn't this show a little mature for a 12 year old?

Well let's move on. I really was just surprised to see you in this thread. I don't post a lot, but read most things. I've had an account for a year less than yourself.

No harm, no foul

And I take issue with the later. I only know of a Dragonpit and not what happens in it. I do not read Spoilers.

Oh wow, the 12 year old joke. What's next? I know you are but what am I?

And it's a dumb theory. Definitely not going to happen. I just hadn't heard/seen anyone mention it before, so I thought I'd post it.

I'm starting to buy into that theory, which begs the question of how the NK is related to Bran.

Calling it right now and I will be referencing this post after this series is completely over as a sign that I am indeed a prophet:

Bran will warg into the human that became the Night King in the past, thus setting up a time loop. He will become the Night King.

1.)we already know he can warg into people in the past, just ask Hodor
2.)that time loop wouldn't have been shown without some larger purpose to the overrall story
3.)Also explains the resemblance to Bran and potentially the Night King's fascination with Jon.
4.)Lot of foreshadowing in the books about this, especially Old Nan's tales (Bran the builder, fact that she says Night King was a Stark, etc.)
5.)Old Nan mentioned that the Night King was killed by his brother, also a Stark, during the Long Night.

If that's true, I see the mystical element of this story ending with Jon killing the Night King and Bran transferring his own consciousness into the past and becoming the Night King in the ceremony we have already seen. Transferring his consciousness to the past, the motherfricking winged wolf flying through time.

No this has some sound logic to it. Don't dismiss this.

I firmly believe that Bran is the Night King. Go look at their outfits, particularly Brans when he is looking into past events. Dressed almost exactly like the NK.

I am quite happy how they have even up to this point kept the NK a bonafide mystery.

However, they are starting to peel off some of the layers now which makes this the best part of TV.

No one knew the Others were bound to the WW who enslaved them. Therefore, the NK is the one true ruler who all is bound too.

We also know he has greenseer capabilities, resurrection ability, and a fricking cannon arm.

The god damned internet man. That link is like my exact theory that I thought I was super clever in coming up with. But sure enough Reddit user poopfish69 beat me to the punch.

Yeah either that's by accident or the show runners leaving a breadcrumb.

I don't think that's a coincidence.

So what would Bran's motivation be in continuing to be the Night's King? Once he warged into the past Night's King, why would he continue to raise an army of the dead and to want to kill everyone?

Outfits have nothing to do with much on this show. A lot of the people wear similar stuff.

Also, Bran cannot exist twice in the same timeline, we saw him in Hold the Door struggle with it, there's no way he can just be walking around as the NK (and from the beginning of the show as well) while still existing as Bran.

It's a good theory and I know people close to me that believe it 100% but the clothes being similar could easily be a red herring.

I don't see GoT having a major time travel plot element for the main mystery of the entire books, it would certainly be a Jump the Shark moment.

If anything it's Bran's ancestors who is the NK.

Being "all-knowing" has it's flaws and can cause one to focus solely on the terrible things in humanity. Maybe he starts to feel that westeros is better off without any houses or lords? Could be like The 5th Element where once "LeeLoo" gets to War, she doesn't want to save the world anymore.

You can see becoming the TER has change Bran significantly.

The theory of Bran = NK suggests that Bran tried everything to stop the NK/WW's throughout time, going all the way back to the pivotal moment of when Leaf (in the show) stabbed the one of the first men in the heart with dragon glass at the weirwood tree.

I would be fricking pissed.

I doubt there's time to flesh something like that out in the show, but if the books (that will never be written) go the route, I'd buy it.
