I'm trying to figure out what store was open in that blizzard for the WW to buy those chains.

They didn't want to go for a swim and thought they would until the Hound started acting like a count with his rock throwing.

One good thing about this episode - no fooking Cersei Lannister!

Add iluvdatiger to the Manifesto.

From the middle ground thread:

So my thoughts for this episode: i thought it was a dumb idea on sunday when they decided to go to eastwatch. I think it's still a dumb idea today. I'm good with everybody but Jon and Gendry dying. Not sure how they expect to get a wight to kings landing. Maybe it only survives in cold and once they move it down south it will become lethargic and not be fighting people the whole time. Dany, i am hoping she gets antsy and goes to check on her boyfriend. Sansa/arya-lets hope this is the episode that LF gets the dagger to the throat. I just dont see his story going any further. Cersei-i dont think she is lying about being pregnant but i wont be surprised if she loses the baby and lies to jamie about it. It would make it that much harder for him to leave her and i think she may be getting worried she will lose him. Sam/gilly-hopefully the teleport machine from oldtown is working as good as the teleporter from dragonstone. We need him to get to winterfell next episode with his books. Maybe gilly will repeat some of her new facts to everybody at the dinner table. "Hey yall did yall know rhagger annuled his marriage and married a stark girl?" **forks dropping at the dinner table**.

They made it clear the 7 were there at least 2 days and the water froze again.

I finished the episode on the poor audio/video feed after the quality one was pulled. I figured they were there for awhile but what made it clear it was 2 days?

I thought it was one night, two days.

Question- how fast are ravens, in real life?

And another question here- wonder why Dany and Jon didn't go to Winterfell, at least for a day?
SURELY a first-hand account would be enough to convince every Northern lord. I mean, if she's actually going to parley with Cersei, she wouldn't go up to Winterfell and demand the knee-bending. She could simply say "Jon has shown me what is happening, and I will do everything in my power to defeat the Night King and protect the 7 Kingdoms".

Because they are on a boat to go to the dragon pit.

To them time is of the essence and puts everything else on hold.

Dragon and rhaegal have the finest armor in Westeros: plot armor

They're safe at least until the last few episodes of the series

I kept waiting for Jon to fly off on the third dragon. I want to see him fly. That will for sure get Dany's panties wet, even though they are soaked. I loved seeing three dragons wreck shite this week.

Can we talk about Jon and Tormund not helping fight off the giant cat thing, that ultimately leads to Thoros dying? THE frick was that JON?

The books might (if they ever come out) but I doubt the show will at the rapid pace it's going.

All they have to do is tie in some Bran flashbacks and show some of the things that went on back then. Do it the first episode on next season and it will tie everything together.

John getting on Rhaegal will be a crown jewel of the last season. No need to waste it or take away from Viserons death. Which is huge as well.

The crazy thing is, as much as I feel like I know where this is going I still have zero clue.

I think some of the major "plot points" for the final season based off of this season are:

1) Dany's pregnancy
2) Jon growing into his role as half Stark / half Targaryen
3) The removal of Cersei Lannister for good.
4) The Golden Company
5) The Night King and what I hope to be another major battle at Winterfel.
6) Who of the full blooded Stark children survive.
7) Jon or Dany dying (or not!)
8) The final end of the Dragons

I caved and watched it last night - I wasn't going to but i was cruising around and the episode sort of appeared without me searching and I couldn't turn back at that point.

frick Jon/Dany and that whole horrible plan - the NK has some serious ice missile spears and Jon should realize he is lucky he didn't get impaled while they were standing there for a couple days. Also wonder if Jon / Dany will realize what the NK is up to with the dragon resurrection given his experience with the Polar Bear.

Arya is a bit of a bitch these days (and kind of creepy carrying faces around). Not sure what the whole giving the dagger to Sansa meant but someone needs to tell her to chill. I don't like Sansa very much but it must suck to have Bran come back and give the creepy recounting of the wedding night and then your sister come back and bitch at you constantly and then threaten to kill you.

Need to confirm something for a convo I'm having with my wife. All of the dragons are male, right? Meaning no more dragon eggs? When these 3 (last 2) go, that's it?
