Well that is essentially what it is I think - I wouldn't say it's children stuff, it's just the traditional epic fantasy / world building storyline. Certainly the movies, but I haven't read the most "recent" asoiaf book so not sure if they begin to broach the background of these things a bit more - most stories don't it seems.

Except literally the entire show is based on thousands of different motivations and goals.

I think at this point the show has eschewed any kind of deep introspectional conversations of that nature. The closest were going to get is the brief Tyrion and Varys and Tyrion and Jamie kind of talks we had in this one.

Wasnt he a part of the peacekeeping force sent to the Frey's area after arya killed all the dudes?
I don't think he was involved in the crew that was at casterly rock that went to attack highgarden.

Jon should invite Arya to come kill a WW and then take his face and kill the king knight

Who gives a shite? He's an evil dead guy who wants to destroy all life.

Yeah their mystery is a huge part of their over arching terror

The White Walkers can be thought of as the manifestation of evil. It is the Others vs the Lord of Light it seems. Darkness versus Light.
Someone on Reddit likened them to the Black Plague.

Robert was insanely jealous because the 1 thing he truly wanted, he couldn't have. It's sorta obvious where her heart was. If Sam had been a little more patient he would have heard that Jon wasn't a bastard at all.
So Robert cursed the guys name the best he could. Ned protected Jon by putting shame on his own honor. Not too sure Robert's battle with him was a fair fight. Things aren't exactly as they are told, as we saw in a dorne flashback.
Drogon knows what's up. Went out of his way to show respect to the blood in Jon's veins.

I wonder if the Night King will ever speak.
Can Bran only see present eventsby warging into animals?

The director of the episode said in an offhand jokey way that yeah, he was proably there. But I'm pretty sure it's not cannon.
Probably be just as likely that Cersei found out his group had Arya in their grasp, and heard her threaten to kill the queen and let her go.
I'll leave it to OLM to conjure up what happened to them after that.

I'm done with the so-called fan fic until WoW is released. I just figured I would take Tyrion's advice.

Anyone have a guess as to what Euron is up to?

Ya that is what makes a world building series interesting - the character development, the decisions, the emotions the author conveys because you generally know the plot lines and story as they all, generally speaking, follow similar themes. Humanity fighting and winning against the evil horde is not a new or interesting story-line, it is the little things that make these series good.

I don't see Tormund dying.
I hope he doesn't.
I didn't catch it until my second watch but I cracked up when he asked Jon if he brought "the big woman". Lovesick Tormund is my favorite.

I mean i figured he might say that just because we will never see ed sheeran on GoT again.
I just figured that squad might not leave the riverlands in chaos if CR was well staffed enough to leave a token army to defend CR and take highgarden. Just my .02, doesn't matter much because he won't be on the show again anyway.
