It's stated they were right across from Blackwater Rush. Dragonstone is less than a day's sail from King's Landing, so I think it's entirely feasible they wouldn't have been able to get the message to Jaime in time.

Plus, how do you send a raven to a moving army?

Showing remorse for the dead doesn't mean he's changing his mind on who he supports. It just shows Tyrion values human life. The lives of those who fought for his family. He isn't a monster.

Crackpot thought:

How old is Ayra now in the show?

It was odd how Sansa commented on how Jon would be more than excited to see her.

If Dany dies in the fight for Dawn, does Jon turn to Sansa or Ayra? Me thinks Ayra. Troubling, but would fit into the GoT world of relationships

Maybe LF killed Neds brother, and mated Kat when Ned was off fighting with Robert.

All of the Stark children except Sansa bear a resemblance to Ned, so it is really unlikely that any of them are LF's kids.

Before you start on Sansa, she was born well after Ned and Cat parted ways from LF.

LF did not sleep with Cat, he slept with Lysa.

Unless the Hound was shitfaced, extremely injured like Brienne found him, or was wielding a flaming sword, I don't think Jon stands much of a chance against him. The fact that Jaime feared his abilities before losing his hand speaks volumes for that. The Hound is an exceptionally formidable fighter where even Bronn pretty much admits with no problem that the Hound would kill him in single combat.

so many ways to interpret it until we see how she behaves moving forward

she understands what kind of horrors her sister must've endured to come out of the whole ordeal like that...her list is real, she's killed people, etc.

jealousy...they both went through tough roads to end up back at winterfell which they mentioned to one another, but I can sense jealousy from sansa because while she was totally helpless and her fate was always left to someone else, arya forged her own path and that's why she's such a badass. she survived on her terms while sansa just endured her ordeal, arya did something about it.

Ok why are a few of you upset that Tarly and Jamie didn't have scouts up on those tall as frick buttes?

For the same reason people are upset that we aren't wasting episodes of travel time. The show is taking shortcuts. I don't think these short cuts have a practical effect, even if they did have a few more hours to set things up all they do is take a few more Dothraki with them, it doesn't turn a lopsided defeat into a victory. However, they are still shortcuts and one of the appeals of the show/books is the attention to the minutest of detail.

Who cares? We got a bad arse 20 min fight scene which wouldn't have been as bad arse if they saw it coming and fled, needless to say they would've been caught by Dothraki cavalry and a dragon anyways so why does it matter? Let's move on to more important matters

because it cheapens their abilities. Jamie has been got before, no way would he not scout the area.

I am sorry that I want more GOT and not something that feels rushed. It seems like the show is on a shot clock

Posted by AUCE05 on 8/7/17 at 9:58 am to CorporateTiger I get it. Doesn't seem likely. But I can't put him in a spot that makes sense with the current plot direction. LF has got to play a major role or he wouldn't be around. Maybe LF killed Neds brother, and mated Kat when Ned was off fighting with Robert.

It was ready to fire. Bronn just had to use the first shot to kill that dothraki chasing him.

Yeah, George never did that. Except when Robb snuck up on Jaime. And when the Tyrell's and Tywin snuck up on Stannis at BlackWater. And When Theon snuck up on Winterfell. And When the Masters snuck up on Mereen.

It's happened the entire series, but now people have a problem with it?

I will admit that there have occasionally been some missteps, and being forced to combine certain characters and storylines has resulted in some issues not found in the source material. That said, it's pretty clear some people are trying to hold the show to a ridiculous standard that doesn't seem to apply to other shows, earlier seasons of GOT, or the books.

and the quality of it has suffered. I still loved last night but the show is starting to watch like bullet points. Instead of the slow burn political drama during the first 4 seasons.

Maybe so, but in the books, only Jon and Arya have the "Stark" look.

GRRM actually came out and said his original plan was to have a love interest between Jon and Arya. But he decided to go in another direction. I doubt he would have shared this if it was actually going to happen.

If you know anything about the books, you know that LF didn't kill Ned's brother and deffinitly never had sex with Catelyn

That's what happens when they catch the books. They are at point a. The finish line is point b. Time to connect the dots.
