GRRM actually came out and said his original plan was to have a love interest between Jon and Arya. But he decided to go in another direction. I doubt he would have shared this if it was actually going to happen.
I see. I just find it weird they have these one liners about Ayra throughout the show. Remember when they mentioned Ayra looked like Jon's mother Lyanna?

George never did that. Except when Robb snuck up on Jaime.
Robb lied to the lannister scout (In the show for sure, I forget about the book) plus he had crockpot Grey Wind looking out for him.

People look like their Aunts and Uncles all the time

I don't think they said she looked like her, they may have said she acts like Lyanna

Also Jon and Arya were notably close as siblings, hence why Jon would be so excited to see her. Jon and Sansa had a more distant relationship (likely influenced by Cat).

They've mentioned Arya looks like Lyanna and Jon looks like Arya, which was supposed to be a clue to Jon's parentage.

I am sorry that I want more GOT and not something that feels rushed. It seems like the show is on a shot clock
I agree some of the time incongruity is a mild annoyance without denoting the passage of time in some way, and it's also annoying while others take longer in the same period to travel similar or shorter distances, but the battle scene was pretty much perfect from the moment they cut from dragonstone to the Lannister caravan headed to king's landing. pacing, multiple perspectives, compositing, pacing, editing, cinematography, emotional conflict...it's been a few seasons since GOT felt that tense. probably since season 3 (the best season thus far)

Right. However they are not siblings now
Finneeeeeee I drop the crackpot theory.

Man talk about Arya outkicking her coverage if she gets Jon.

If Dany dies, it's not like there's a lot to choose from.
It's Sansa, the evil bitch ex-sister or Ayra the sister he always been close with.

eliminate my geographical exaggeration. same argument stands. a huge arse army like that AND a dragon (the dragon makes it truly difficult under any scenario) cannot be hidden. not to the point where an army LITERALLY doesn't know it's near until they HEAR the horses coming
That is a good point. But if any force could approach very rapidly like that without detection it would be the Dothraki.

Based on what the show has shown us the Lanister army getting ambushed should be no surprise. Their arrogance is noted throughout the show once they think they have got the upper hand they become reckless. No different when Robb surprised Jamie. Where were his scouts then looking in the wrong place if I remember correctly following a part of the northern army away from the real intent.
Lets look at the events that took place leading up to the ambush. They let the unsullied basically have Castlery Rock and then destroyed their ships so they are now out of the picture and can go after High Garden. Euron had already destroyed Yara's Fleet. I believe Jaime and maybe someone else(Robert/Ned) had said in an earlier episode or season that the Dothraki had never fought against a real army and probably the assumption was made that with Yara's fleet burned and the ships the unsullied used as well they did not have enough left to get the horde where they needed.
Also I believe the majority of the army had already reached KL with the gold though I have some reservations while the leaders of the army was with the remaining group and the supply chain at this point. The horde moves fast and probably would surprise any scout before they could sound the alarm but even so please tell me what a scout would accomplish with the speed of the horde. Just about every supply wagon had no horses attached to it and the army was infantry so not like they could out run the horde. Even if warned they could have done really no more then what they did in the end.

It was ready to fire. Bronn just had to use the first shot to kill that dothraki chasing him.
Not completely. Bronn had to extend and lock into place the limbs of the large crossbow once he dropped the walls of the wagon.
That shot was fired with just he short-armed crossbow, in my view.
Edit: Geez. Judging from the downvotes, no one noticed that after the walls of the wagon came down Bronn obviously fully extends the larger limbs and drops pins through an eye-hole to lock them into place.

To be fair, she asked Jon to bend the knee before she knew about the losses to her flight at Casterly Rock...

People who worry too much about details such as the lack of scouting seem to gloss over the fact we are in a universe where dragons exist.

Anybody else catch that look of "what have I done?" From Tyrion when he was watching Drogon roast the Lannister army.
Yeah, there is definitely something to that.

I think there's a question of whether he did bend the knee to her in that cave.

I agree plus glad many of these posting are not using their expertise to lead our troops in real life.
