I get it. Doesn't seem likely. But I can't put him in a spot that makes sense with the current plot direction. LF has got to play a major role or he wouldn't be around. Maybe LF killed Neds brother, and mated Kat when Ned was off fighting with Robert.

I actually have no idea
it was mostly just a joke about people complaining about "teleportation"

Soldier boy, scale this vertical cliff that's 500 feet high. Seems legit

In the books, he gets his butt whipped a number of times, but is bailed out by Ghost or something else. Pretty sure Mance bests him one on one.
Name the times he gets beat in the books, I don't remember them. I don't even remember this supposed fight with Mance from the books.

I think he flies Rhaegon north at some point

I think the TER is sort of a watcher of current events and will not actively participate in changing the course of events
But after the old TER downloaded himself into Bran, Bran then went on to Hodor Hodor in the past so that Hodor would Hodor in the present and sacrifice himself so that the rest of the group could get away from the wights.

So many dothraki got wasted.
Haven't read all the pages so I don't know if anybody has made the point yet that Dothraki literally live for shite like this. They kill each other at weddings. They love to fight and ride horses. That's their bag. They didn't travel the sea for the first time ever to just sit around in the background. Even Jorah made note that no Westerosi army could stand against a Dothraki attack in open field. You just saw that comment come to life.

1. No way Randyll Tarly (much less Bronn) doesn't have a lookout on one of those high buttes. They would have seen the Dothraki and the dragons miles away.
What practical difference would that have made though? I guess they could have scattered or hidden the loot/food, but they wouldn't have had enough time to do much else other than setup up a shield wall. So for the most part the scene plays out the same but Bronn being the one that hears them coming first leads to events unfolding with a bigger emotional impact IMO than Dickon riding up to Jaime and saying "our scout says the Dothraki are coming".

The Half-hand was beating him, even if it was a "pretend fight" where Half-hand knew he had to die, and I think Ghost helped him there. Mance, magicked to appear as Rattleshirt, beats him in a sparring match (I believe).

I think Jamie is going to survive, but have to face Daenarys who will be itching for revenge for her father's murder. Tyrion, who owes his life to Jamie, will be conflicted and I am anxious to see that scene play out. She is already on the outs with Tyrion and is losing faith in his counsel. I can see a scenario where Tyrion attempts to help Jamie escape and meets his end.

Anybody else catch that look of "what have I done?" From Tyrion when he was watching Drogon roast the Lannister army.
It was a face of almost regret, or heartbreak over watching his former army and Jamie being slaughtered. I hope he doesn't have a change of heart over who he's supporting.

People love to play general. It makes for a better scene with the Dothraki riding in, whether they're "needed" or not

As for Spoils of War vs. the other 2, I'm not trying to belittle them, but dragons being a game changer has been built up as legend since season 1 and we finally got to see them change the game last night.
I gotcha. My arguments for the other two are for Hardhome, we get into the first big action with the White Walkers and Jon Snow kills a Boss.
And Battle of the Bastards shows the Starks retaking their home that has been gone since season 1 and Ramsay's bitch arse gets eaten by his dogs.

I'm thinking Dany offers Jaime the Black.

The dialogue is too quiet at times and then the battle scenes blow you the frick out.
Yeah, but that's what makes it fun. When the sound is properly set to 11 you can understand all the dialogue, but you then could FEEL the Dothraki charge rumbling the floor at the same time Bronn did. The dragon screeching was UNREAL.

She'll take convincing, from Tyrrion (perhaps what Varys is speaking of in the preview) and from Jon.
Maybe we see Jon escorting Jaime north on the way to eastwatch (but I'd rather see Jon ride Rhaegon north)

That makes sense.
Shows mercy (which would win over the surviving Lannister forces in the field), and puts one hell of a commander at the Wall where it's needed most.

I agree with the criticisms about none of the armies having scouts but a "steppe" army would move faster than any one in westeros would be use to.
Mongol armies would ride 60 to 100 miles a day.
Now having said that, the writers should have them already on the island grazing and casually making their way to strike where ever.

Don't the army units have ravens?
