Is it fair to say that most of Arya's fighting style is from Syrio Forel even though she has basically learned a little something from several people including the Hound?

can i just comment that the "surprise!" attacks this season are beyond tiresome. all the scouts of Westeros, apparently, were in the High Sept when Cersei blew it up. Euron sneaking up on Yara is one thing, but then Euron sneaks up on the fleet of the Unsullied (which, how the hell did they get there anyway)....and then an army of 30-40k AND a dragon marches ALL THE WAY across Westeros and nobody warns the Lannister army?

Ramsay I know has. The fact that if he wasn't that good of a swordsman he probably wouldn't have been KotN. I would like for you to point out to me where in the books it says he's just average. I don't remember that.

I'm not making any claims. You made a definitive statement without a citation. Burden of proof was on you to support your claim.

In the books, he gets his butt whipped a number of times, but is bailed out by Ghost or something else. Pretty sure Mance bests him one on one. Then again, Jon is only a teen last we see him in the books.

It is sloppy writing and the show is really moving too fast.

You could see LF look at Arya after that sparing scene, he knows he has no chance with Sansa so will go after Arya's affections to try to get on the Iron Throne.

She really didn't spend a ton of time with Syrio, but he laid the foundation for her style. She very much fights in an essos style that isn't common to westorosi knights. I think the bulk of her skills come from training with the waif, skills on a foundation built by Syrio. The hound taught her brutality and to see the world for what it is. We have to remember that she trained to fight without the use of her eyesight for a while. She is very much one of the most dangerous swords on the planet despite her stature. She could've put needle into brienne's neck at the beginning of the fight.

they could have sailed 95% of the way there FWIW

Tyrion said they still had enough ships to move the Dothraki if they wanted

the Blackwater Rush is right outisde KL, which again though, you could make the argument that they would have scout ships in the area

But we aren't supposed to concern ourselves with trivial things like that. I mean...this is a world of magic, dragons, and ice zombies. What does logic have to do with anything?

All the way across westeros? They were closer to kings landog than high garden, which isn't far from where they would've made land coming from dragonstone. We know some of the army has made it to kings landing and Tarly mentions they need to get the tail end across the blackwater rush

It's possible one of Dany's dragons (Viserion probably) gets killed and resurrected by the Night's King.

It's stated they were right across from Blackwater Rush. Dragonstone is less than a day's sail from King's Landing, so I think it's entirely feasible they wouldn't have been able to get the message to Jaime in time.

No way.

He would have died in the sword fight with Karl Tanner at Craster's Keep if one of the girls hadn't saved him. And he was getting his arse kicked by Styr before he spit in his face and hit him over the head with a hammer.
