Crackpot theory here.....Gendry is the first true born son of Robert & Cersei! Just a though, but he would be about the age. Cersei explained to Catlyn that her first born was raven haired boy, but he didn't survive...was made absolutely true that the child actually died? Gendry said he didn't remember his mother, but he knew she had yellow hair.

Of course, this would go against what Maggie told Cersei about her three children not being from the king.

And that's where Tyrion comes into play. I think Tyrion will try and convince Dany not to execute him and that Jaime is rational.

IMO I give D&D kudos for not putting the Faegon storyline in the show. It was pretty pointless and I don't see what value it has in the books anyway.

I get the feeling that GRRM was having trouble deciding how to proceed to the end after A Storm fo Swords... So he did the only reasonable thing and added several large sub plots.

I honestly think it was just the best way he could come up with to get The Golden Company to Westeros.

That, or he's just trying backfill to match Danerys vision in the House of the Undying of "A mummers dragon".

I like that crackpot theory. Maggy might not have been 100% accurate, she said three children for Cersei and obviously she had four.

I doubt that would get fleshed out in the show given the amount of episodes that are left, but it just seems like an odd coincidence.

Yeah I wouldn't say I buy it, but you make good points and the main argument you raised against the theory isn't necessarily ironclad.

I feel like at some point in the show Cersei stated explicitly that she had killed the baby. But I could just be making that up. I came up with the same crackpot theory myself, but let it go for some reason that I don't remember.

Plot twist: Jamie gets Cercei pregnant again and she dies from child birth dude to her advanced age and she sees the sweet bit of irony in her last moments and see that it wasn't Tyrions fault their mother died

I'd enjoy it if her last moments were filled with the knowledge that the new child was a dwarf.

Any time she had gotten pregnant from Robert she would drink some elixir that terminated the baby if I remember correctly...and I'm not sure if Robert ever actually saw the child, she just said he was mad with rage. What if the child survived and was smuggled away when she thought it would die....

The Gendry issue: There is just no way to prove he's Robert's...bastard or otherwise. Pycelle's records would flat out refute the highborn theory, and ANY dark haired kid could make the bastard claim.

Mel and Davos are the only people who could support it, but can't claim to have even seen supporting documentation.

If Gendry is to end up with Storm's End, he will have to win it on merit alone...even with a ridiculously uncanny resemblance to Robert.

They came to take his body away, and Robert held me; I screamed and I battle but he held me. My little bundle, they took him away and I never saw him again, never visited the crypt. 100% accurate

In his defense, the title says spoilers...hence I stay away from it.
If I see that word in a GOT thread, I have to assume leaked 411.

That's no way to talk about Aegon Targaryen VI! Rightful heir to the Iron Throne.

This is the story of the Targaryen restoration, so the House needs a male heir to continue the line of succession. AND the dragon has Three Heads.

Dany is not interested in Sir McBroody. Sorry. She's going to make beautiful dragon babies with a real Targaryen, not some dirty bastard.

Well there's a chance his parents were married and he's not a bastard.
