Part of Dany's problem is no one in her tight circle has real military experience. Tyrion is smart but good at politics, not much experience at war. Jorah will appear at just the right time, when she needs such a man.

Would love to see Jorah and Jon Snow interact given that Snow was like an adopted son to Joer Mormont and he has his family sword at his hip.

Honestly Danny's issue is that she was too powerful for interesting storytelling, therefore everything that has happened puts her back into relative balance.

That's been her problem since the beggining of the story.
Obviously this comes in hindsight but I think if GRRM could rewrite the books (lol) I don't think he would fully introduce Dany into the story until a lot further down the line. Her plot has been yo-yo-ing up and down because she gets too big too quickly and then small in an instant and starts from scratch again

Wasn't she supposed to have the ability to potentially take the 7 kingdoms with just the unsullied or just the dothraki? I mean at different points in time that was her plan. Looks to me like the unsullied were way overhyped or am I missing something?

Only 8000 of them or so.
Not to mention they are out of position.

That stems from book one overhyping the Dothraki and then (as I mentioned above) the need to cut her down to size for the sake of there being tension in the storyline.
If you go reread book 1 they act like the Dothraki are the greatest military threat the world has ever known despite the fact that they would be poorly equipped for an actual campaign in Westeros.

I'm actually surprised Sam didn't give Jorah Heartsbane

Yeah I know I'm just saying. It's kind of a pothole at this point I guess.
Well maybe not even early on in season 1 when everyone is drooling about how well the dothraki fight he doesn't seem as impressed and actually says as much at one point bringing up the fact a dothraki has never fought a westerosi knight in full armor

Why doesn't Sam's dad come down to Ctiadel and retrieve it?
Why doesn't anyone in the cold North wear a hat?
Why is Jon wearing a heavy wolf parka cape at Dragonstone while everyone else is lightly dressed?
ETA: Who the frick knows

Just so i understand, Euron and his crew burned the unsullied ships, correct?
Why didnt they just come on shore and wipe them out?

They would be attacking a land army in a fortified position. Euron's strength is on the sea. They did their job there without really losing anyone.

The dialogue in this season hadnt been all that great. How many memorable lines this season?
I thought the dialogue in the first and third episode was very good. Not as good in the second, but I really don't have any complaints about it.

There's no need. Why attack a fortress, when there are no supplies there? Just starve them out, and they'll have to leave eventually.

Speaking from a purely military perspective, the Unsullied are her core and should not be used lightly. There was only 6,000 of them, plus they lost a lot in the insurrection, and taking Casterly Rock. Her Dothraki would be muderous in open battle but not so much in storming fortresses or cities. She really needs some Westerosi help.

Two things here:
1.) The Dothraki are savage in battle. That goes a long way
2.) Much of the hype around them came from the sheer size of the Khalasar that Drogo had assembled. It was 100,000 horse riders strong; the largest in memory. I don't care who you are, that's a ridiculously sized calvery.

She also has zero heavy cavalry. And technically simt the dornish army still available

I like how Cersei and Jaime are outsmarting Dany so far. It would be boring otherwise. In the books, Cersei is a horrible leader with delusions that she's just as amazing as her father. The shows are making her a little more formidable of an opponent.
I'm not sure how great of an ally The North can be. Between the wars, the Iron Island invasions, the Red Wedding and the Battle of the Bastards, they can't be more than 10% of what they were.
