A place like Dorne doesnt feel it's full effects
Okay so on this, I feel like there's two types of winter. They have like a normal winter, that can be abnormally long and cold and a real bitch for everyone trying to have food and shelter, this is what you're talking about here where Dorne probably is the best place to live. Nan tells the kids they haven't been alive to even see a winter, which implies that some people have seen it, and it's not that uncommon
Then there is fricking WINTER. Which is where the white walkers come down and it's cold EVERYWHERE. Dorne will be a block of ice just like everywhere else will be and this only happens once in a blue moon since no one has seen a white Walker in thousands of years

Okay, notice how my post included the word 'typically.' Typically winter doesn't involve something that predates the wall.

The Stormlands are nearly completely depleted of manpower due to Stannis. In fact, in the show, Stannis still maintains small garrisons at Storms End and Dragonstone, but there may be less than 1000 capable fighting men in the whole kingdom.

If Jon is in KL then Sansa has to be at winterfell.

you think he was a plot device to show Melisandre was willing to kill kids to get "her" chosen one to where she thought they were destined?

Uhhhhh...Tormund will be Lord Commander of Jon's Kingsguard.

She just needed someone with a king's blood. Most of Robert's bastards were killed and Gendry was one of the few remaining. Gendry fulfilled his purpose and instead of giving him a brutal death the writers send sent him away instead. He's done.

He at least needs a to name the great room "Wun-Wun Hall" or something.

I think you're right because there is even a point in the show where someone asks Tyrion how many winters he has seen. Can't remember exactly what he respond but it's several.

I loved Tormund in Winterfell during that townhall meeting.
"You can't expect the Veil to fight alongside these Wildling invaders!"
"We didn't invade....we were invited."
"Not by me!"

Hahaha I forgot about that part.

I was cracking up at that part during my rewatch last night. Tormund is such a great character.

You're going to be pissed when Jon marries Cersei and puts down Dany's rebellion.

I love Tormund but the subtleties of politics are completely lost on him. Davos or Sansa.

An brief moment of last night's episode thay was especially awesome was when Arya grabbed Walder Frey as if he was a small child.
I thought there was a good bit of foreshadowing with Frey's interaction with Jamie. He proudly never had to fight in a war, but it's clear why he never had to fight.
Arya won that battle though.
